Brave (wannabe) acts & Happier Living
It's Mid Jan already!! Woo hoo.. just 2 more weeks before we head home! It's going to be a FAB FEB, I just know it!!! :)
Carrefour was on strike again over the weekend .. so there goes my weekly supplies from there. We drove all the way there only to see employees playing volleyball in the huge carpark. Ha ha.. that's the French Pacific way of life for you! if I were alone, I would have joined them. Ha ha ha
Must go to the smaller supermart later to stock up as the market was rather empty too.. most of the stall owners are still on holiday ( at the prices they charge, they'll probably wining and dining in France now as I type this!)
We tried to go trekking with Josh to a waterfall. It was supposed to be a 45min trek one way.. so we thought, ok. We've done it before during one of our holidays last Oct, surely we can do it again? And so I carried the haversack while Hubby took Josh. 10min into the forest and the trek got so tough! Even I had to use my hands to balance between the thick roots and vines, not to mention hubby who was carrying Josh. And it got kinda spooky when the sun could no longer shine though the dense forestation & funny animals start to make eerie noises. And so we gave up & laughed all the way back at how "brave" we were.. ya ya papaya mummy & daddy! We were later told that it was a very tough hiking trek - most of the trekkers are very fit & experienced. O..kay....
So what else can we do on this island??? Go to the beach loh!!! Met some friends and ended up playing with them & their 3 kids on the beach and going back to their place to see their new puppy, Choupet! So cute!!!!!!
