Josh took his first walk yesterday (after mummy arrived) and man, he DIDN'T stop!! He walked round and round the house so many times , it was quite a distance!
I'd just come home from my Expat ladies luncheon ( this lunch grp which I joined that helps me speak French faster) and hubby & Josh had just picked mummy up from the airport. We were chit chatting and I was asking hubby abt the correct noun to use in a French sentence when suddenly, Josh decides to walk to me from like, 5m away!!!
I went " So dear do I use Sa or Son when.... DEAR DEAR DEAR!!!!!! LOOK LOOK LOOK!!!!" That's when Josh whizzed pass hubby towards me! :)
WE got all crazy and excited cos Josh just decided to walk around the house nonstop. Ha ha ha ha it was hilarious. He walks with his hands up (for balance I reckon)and turns 360deg randomly. i shall post photos after this ( tho they were mostly blurry as he was too fast)
It's an amazing feeling - I was literally jumping with joy knowing that Hub , myself and mummy witnessed this milestone!!! Afterall if we had to list Josh's caregivers, it would be us ( I do wish my ILs saw this too..) I was soooooooooo thrilled ( of cos i didn't occur to me yet what I was in for!!! Beginning of a new era of running , dashing and falling!)
Which he did , at night. While I was cooking... despite my mum hovering over Josh protectively ( & constantly), he fell and cut his lip slightly. It bled and swelled. Cried hysterically but only till I got to him and distracted him. Was ok in abt 2-3 m but poor baby, looks like he got punched in the lip!!
Oh well ,you can't help these things. We can only try our best to pad up all the sharp corners & to watch Josh as closely as possible. Thank GOD my mum's here for the beginning of Josh walking so I have someone who can help me watch him while I cook or do chores.
ps: Lingpie - of cos mummy related the story of how you hit your head while running for chocolates & needed stitches... AGAIN ha ha ha
pss : She also repeated my arm breaking story but then again , I told her " Can you blame the 2 yo when a silly maid puts her on a high table and forgets abt her & leaves her there?????'
So anyway... more stories abt mummy being here, premiere fois in Noumea. Next post.
