...Raiden, can you read this? I know you never come when you're called, but what about when you're summoned in writing? I'm...I'm not sure I like it here, Raiden. I mean, of course my room looks the same as it did back in Zhu Zin, but when I go out into the hall, it's like a whole other world. I can't help but feel this is similar to the time Shang Tsung and Quan Chi almost tricked me into being trapped in the realm they created where my every wish and comfort were seemingly met (at least on the surface).
I know you would never intentionally send me into a trap, but I have to be honest: I'm a little suspicious of this place.

And I don't understand, Raiden- I know Shao Kahn is looking for me in Zhu Zin and that it's my duty to protect Earthrealm from any dangers to it...but while I'm in hiding you want me to be a prison warden? That seems kind of...low-level work for the type of protecting I'm capable of doing, doesn't it? I hope you're not actually putting me here because I was so easily defeated by Shao Kahn's Shadow Priests! You know what I'm capable of, Raiden!
But I'll trust you for the time being. If you want me to fulfill my obligations as Mortal Kombat Champion and protector of Earthrealm by making sure a ship of criminals is kept under control, then I'll try not to let you down. Please promise me, however, that as soon as you can, you'll bring me back to Zhu Zin to fight alongside you.
