伊達 政宗
Date Masamune (伊達 政宗) was a legendary person in Japanese history famous as a great leader and outstanding warrior. One of the most powerful daimyo (大名) of Azuchi-Momoyama period (安土桃山時代) at the end of the Warring States Period (戦国時代), founder of Sendai city (仙台市 Sendai-shi) in Miyagi Prefecture (宮城県) and patron of Christianity in Japan.

伊達 輝宗
Date family was founded by Isa Tomomune, who originally came from the Isa district of Hitachi Province (常陸国 Hitachi no Kuni) in what is now Ibaraki Prefecture (茨城県). The family took its name from the Date district in what is now Fukushima Prefecture (福島県) of Mutsu Province (陸奥国)
Date Masamune's army is recognized by its black armor and golden headgear. Famous crescent-moon-bearing helmet won Date Masamune him a fearsome reputation.
