A few months ago my dad opened a restaurant in Tucson, not far from Miracle Mile, called "Jethro's." It's breakfast and lunch place with a white-trash theme. For those of you who live out in Tucson, you'd know that a restaurant like that fits very nicely with the surrounding area. I was speaking with him today, and he told me that one of his servers showed up to work this morning drunk off her ass, reeking of whiskey, in a Toys-R-Us tube top. He wonders why it's hard to find good workers. I told him it was the nature of the beast he created. In other words, I can't wait to see the place, it sounds like it would be prime inspiration for a play, very John Waters-esque. I have a feeling I'm in for some top-shelf people-watching, on the same tier as the Las Vegas Strip, and the Mall of America.
Anyway, my dad's in need of some good help. If any of you Tucson folks are looking for a new job and would want to replace the whiskey-guzzlin' tube-top slut, hit my dad up, I'm sure he'd give you the job. He says his servers make about $60-$75 a day in tips.
