#01 - Ring
"I'm sorry" denied Charlie, returning the promised ring to the man "but the only ring I'll possess will come from a japanese man."
#02 - Hero
He kept saying he was a a hero that had to saved the world, and eventually she ended up believing him... she just hoped he saved it soon so she could spend what little time she had left with him.
#03 - Memory
Even if she wanted to, her incredible memory prevented her from forgetting about him; which was a good thing, he was still there, reminding her there was a reason to live.
#04 - Box
Secretly hidden in the Burnt Toast Diner was a small box where Charlie kept various japanese manuals she memorized every day, one per day, so that she could learn japanese even faster... perhaps someday she would be able to visit Tokyo -and Hiro- at last!
#05 - Run
There was no hurry; now she wasn't running towards the arms of death, and it was all thanks to that little, sweet time-travelling man who brought joy to her life.
#06 - Hurricane
Like a hurricane, Hiro had arrived; unexpected, unpredictable, and yet when he left, the sensation of emptiness he left on Charlie was gigantic.
#07 - Wings
He just wished someday he could fly, like Nathan (and practically every other superhero he read about), and perhaps that day he would pick up Charlie and take her to see the world, just like she wanted to.
#08 - Cold
Whenever Hiro was cold at night, he would remember that gorgeous waitress from Texas, and a warm sensation took over his heart and drew a smile on his face at the memory of her.
#09 - Red
Perhaps she was now tainted with red blood, but even so, she still remained beautiful, even at her time of death.
#10 - Drink
"A cup of coffee, pleaze" "please, with a 's'... but you're really improving Hiro, let's try again!"
#11 - Midnight
One beautiful night, at midnight to be precise, Charlie dreamt about him; it was an amazing dream... just because she got a clear look at his face to remind herself of it, her excellent memory wasn't going to let that image get away!
#12 - Temptation
Yes, she was tempted by other men who visited the diner, but by the end of the day the only one who owned her heart was standing next to her on that photograph of her birthday by the wall.
#13 - View
Although he did have the chance of a clear view of Claire's chest one time, he looked away; Ando couldn't help but admire Hiro's loyalty.
#14 - Music
"This music is so amazing!" she exclaimed, excited at the new discovery "I've already memorized the lyrics, thank you Hiro!"
#15 - Silk
Her skin was soft and silky, like velvet, and her touch so tempting, and her lips... unreachable.
#16 - Cover
In order to cover something, you have to have it first; perhaps he didn't have Charlie to cover her when she fell asleep and kicked the sheets, but at leasthe still had the image of her sweet smile when she fell asleep.
#17 - Promise
Hiro made a promise to save her life, and even if he didn't realize it until the end, he really did save her; he saved her from losing herself and falling into desperation.
#18 - Dream
He still dreamt about her; at first he found the dreams torturous, but then he accepted them and embraced them, since they allowed him to see her one more time.
#19 - Candle
A candlelit dinner, a long walk by the beach... they were clichés, but still... he just wished he could share those with his dear Charlie...
#20 - Talent
Her talent got her killed; his talent allowed her to keep living despite heading towards death.
#21 - Silence
Hiro used to enjoy the silence; yet when it was filled with Charlie's charming voice he started to stop enjoying it and preferring her company and her talk.
#22 - Journey
He was on a journey, he had to save the world... he had doubted it, but it was his destiny; for Charlie, he would bring justice and peace to the world.
#23 - Fire
She couldn't regenerate like Claire, she couldn't produce fire like Meredith, nor did she have massive strength like Niki; yet she was the most unique and special woman Hiro had met in his life.
#24 - Strength
She wasn't strong enough to keep living after knowing she would die, but Hiro was kind enough to bring her the strength and support she needed; for him, she could keep living.
#25 - Mask
One day, Charlie discovered a curious japanese mask on the market near her home; she found it particularly funny and bought it... when she visited Tokyo, perhaps Hiro could explain her what the mask represented.
#26 - Ice
"Yes, it means ice... you learn really fast, Charlie... it must be your memory" "or perhaps I have a really good japanese teacher" and they both laughed.
#27 - Fall
Even if he had to sacrifice his powers, he would never allow her to fall into the darkness; she was a innocent and sweet young woman who didn't deserve to die!
#28 - Forgotten
When Nathan asked why was he telling him everything about her, Hiro replied that he didn't want her to be completely forgotten; he listened to everything the japanese said.
#29 - Dance
He didn't know how to dance, he was sloppy and clumsy; luckily she did, and they were able to enjoy an evening of laughter and dancing with him only stepping on her once or twice.
#30 - Body
Her body was beautiful, but her smile was the sexiest thing about her; it could melt ice.
#31 - Sacred
Charlie was the most sacred memory he possessed, and neither the Haitian nor anyone would be allowed to alter that!
#32 - Farewells
It was unfair, he didn't even get the chance to say goodbye... it was the saddest of farewells, his lips reaching out towards her... but knowing they would never touch each other.
#33 - World
He wanted to save the world, but he hadn't been able to save Charlie... every hero had a burden, didn't they?
#34 - Formal
He wasn't a very formal person, but if he ever had to host an important event like Kaito did on his days, there was only one woman he wished could accompany him, and she wasn't there...
#35 - Fever
"I think you have a fever, you're red Charlie..." "y-yeah, that must be it."
#36 - Laugh
She had a beautiful laughter, but always covered it with her mouth, and she just blushed when Hiro commented on it.
#37 - Lies
Hiro would never dare to lie to her, even if he wanted to he wasn't a very good liar... and even if she was a bit naive, she knew him well enough to guess he was lying.
#38 - Forever
Despite nothing lasting forever, he would make sure his love for her and her memory remained perpetual.
#39 - Overwhelmed
Overwhelmed didn't even begin to describe the feeling he got from her death... no, it wasn't shock, it was more of... despair.
#40 - Whisper
"I love you, Hiro..." her whisper reached his ears before he was warped back to Japan...
#41 - Wait
Every tip counted, and her hopes of visiting Tokyo looked more promising each passing day; she just hoped he was waiting for her as she did.
#42 - Talk
She spoke english, he spoke japanese, and yet when they got together they had the most wonderful of talks.
#43 - Search
Whenever he had some free time, Hiro mentally searched for a specific date he could visit the Burnt Toast Diner and see Charlie again... he couldn't bear the fear of forgetting her face.
#44 - Hope
She had lost it when she was diagnosed, but Hiro brought to her exactly what she was lacking, not only love but hope.
#45 - Eclipse
Charlie hadn't missed that, she was still alive by that time... when he observed the eclipse in New York, Hiro wondered if Charlie had seen it too...
#46 - Gravity
Gravity was a law, it couldn't be broken... but so was time and space, and yet here he was, visiting the past to see Charlie again; sometimes laws need to be broken, even if not intentionally.
#47 - Highway
"First I'll take the bus through the highway, arrive to the airport, and depart to Japan" she smiled simply at the thought of her plan "I just wonder if he'll be there when I arrive..."
#48 - Unknown
A trip to Tokyo was basically a trip to the unknown; Hiro could not be there, or he could be missing or dead or on a trip, and she would've wated money and time for nothing; but at least that kept her living, it was her goal.
#49 - Lock
Sometimes she didn't bother locking her house (why was the point? she would die anyway), but after meeting Hiro she locked the door with the secure and everything.
#50 - Breathe
Hiro couldn't help but smile; her smell, her laugh, her smile, her breath... she had missed her so much, it felt almost unreal to be in front of her!
