Fandom: Death Note
Pairing: Light/L (Ryuzaki)
Theme set: Alpha
Title: Animal (Take a Bite of My Heart)
Rating: G-hard R
Warning[s]: Slash, consensual rough sex, unexpected fluff, general freakiness.
Notes: I tend to use the name "Ryuzaki" rather than "L," since the sentences are a bit skewed towards being from Light's perspective. I also love the idea of these two being total freaks in all regards, so if you don't like the thought of two guys strangling each other and loving it, then, uh, don't click that lj-cut. ^_^
Comfort
The Kira investigation is devouring Ryuzaki alive, and Light can only promise him, “It will all be over soon.”
Kiss
Ryuzaki finds every bruise that he inflicted the night before and touches it with his mouth- not to apologize, but to proudly claim his handiwork.
Soft
Light pretends to hate it when Ryuzaki massages his belly with his knuckles.
Pain
Light isn’t satisfied until he can see Ryuzaki’s eyes flash with the agony that he refuses to give voice.
Potatoes
When Light asks him if he ever eats any vegetables, Ryuzaki answers without missing a beat: “Potato chips.”
Rain
The roar of the rain covers up the sound of Ryuzaki’s whimper, but Light can feel his chest thrum for just a moment, and that’s enough.
Chocolate
It doesn’t take much- Light just has to hold up the jar of fudge sauce, raise one eyebrow, and watch Ryuzaki’s eyes almost pop out of his head in excitement.
Happiness
Ryuzaki somehow manages to stretch his body in all possible directions, arching his back and purring like a kitten, raking his nails down Light’s naked ribcage.
Telephone
Chief Yagami catches them, Ryuzaki’s mouth a scant inch from Light’s burning ear- then Ryuzaki tilts his head and says they were playing the old children’s game, and when Chief Yagami shrugs and smiles, Light envies Ryuzaki’s ability to get away with just about anything.
Ears
Light will tolerate biting on any place except his ears- so that’s where Ryuzaki bites him most often.
Name
Knowing his real name would take all the fun out of it.
Sensual
Even when Light is just idly taking notes, Ryuzaki is mesmerized by the steadiness of his hand, the confidence in every line.
Death
Nothing can separate them, not even this- Light feels the weight of dark phantom eyes as he strokes himself hard and fast beneath the sheets.
Sex
Ryuzaki deliberately chose a popsicle for his afternoon snack, and as he slides his mouth back and forth and swirls his tongue around the tip, he can feel Light’s eyes like lasers from across the room.
Touch
Even in a crowd of strangers pushing and shoving, his senses overloaded with physical contact, Light instantly recognizes the fingertips brushing against the underside of his wrist.
Weakness
Ryuzaki absolutely refuses, until Light promises a whole dessert cart in tribute.
Tears
Perhaps he pushed him too hard- instead of apologizing, he pulls the shuddering Ryuzaki into his arms and licks him clean, starting at his jaw and following the salt trail up to kiss his watering eyes.
Speed
They race each other, hands pumping, foreheads glistening with sweat- whoever finishes first then gets to finish the other in any way he chooses.
Wind
Ryuzaki kicks him in the stomach so hard that he can’t breathe, and Light shudders to think of the damage he would do if he wore shoes.
Freedom
About halfway through, Ryuzaki manages to work one hand free of the ropes, and that’s when things start to get really interesting.
Life
Most of the time, Light can hardly remember what life was like before all this.
Jealousy
When Ryuzaki gives his undivided attention to anyone else, Light feels a throb behind his eyes, his teeth clenching against his will.
Hands
“Yours may be thicker, but mine is clearly longer,” Ryuzaki’s soft voice says, and Matsuda is too horrified to turn around and see that they are comparing the length of their fingers.
Taste
Whether by osmosis or overexposure, Light is developing quite the sweet tooth.
Devotion
Light sits with one hand dangling off his armrest, and he is startled when Ryuzaki crawls over and nuzzles his head up into his palm with a dog-like whine of contentment.
Forever
Ryuzaki is forced to conclude that they are equally matched, and unless something changes drastically (unlikely), they will simply endure.
Blood
Determined not to be knocked off-balance this time, Light braces himself- and when Ryuzaki slams into him, mouth to mouth, the force of the impact is enough to split their lips and streak their chins with blood.
Sickness
His ghostly pallor and sunken eyes could be mistakenly attributed to illness, but while he is physically healthy, Light wouldn’t hesitate to describe Ryuzaki as sick.
Melody
There is something about the tune of Verdi’s Addio del passato that makes Ryuzaki prickle all over like a frightened cat, and he won’t let Light touch him until he soothes his nerves by humming Beethoven- the composer who shook his fist at thunderstorms.
Star
Light hears the crack of his own skull colliding with the headboard- the pain drills deep and cold, and his vision explodes into a thousand white-hot points of light.
Home
Like the instinct that inexorably drives some birds to fly thousands of miles, they are pulled towards each other by a force that neither one fully understands.
Confusion
Ryuzaki had always assumed that Coco by Chanel was a perfume that smelled like chocolate- imagine his disappointment when Misa corrected him with a sneer while Light shrugged apologetically behind her.
Fear
It’s on the nights when Ryuzaki apologizes in advance that Light feels a twinge of anxiety.
Lightning/Thunder
When Ryuzaki bares his teeth, Light knows he is just about to climax- one follows the other as surely as thunder follows lightning.
Bonds
They’ve tried silk scarves and heavy ropes, but they still like the chain the best.
Market
Light tries to creep towards the door as discreetly as possible, but just as he lays a hand on the handle, Ryuzaki calls, “If you’re going to the market, do you think you could get me some more...” and the great list begins.
Technology
Ryuzaki sits on Light’s lap and grinds against his straining erection while Yagami reaches around and unzips his jeans, both sets of eyes fixed on the security monitors, watching Misa undress for the night.
Gift
When Ryuzaki arches his back and sinks his weight into a handstand of astonishing flexibility, Chief Yagami catches his son staring and agrees amicably, “He certainly is gifted.”
Smile
Ryuzaki pokes Light repeatedly in the ribs, watching his mouth go from a determined neutral to an annoyed grimace to an angry sneer to a reluctantly amused sliver of a grin.
Innocence
A part of Light insists that there’s no way Ryuzaki could have been a virgin before they met, and yet another part of him believes that he wouldn’t have condescended to sleeping with someone who was not his equal in all respects- and Light knows for a fact that he’s the first one to meet all necessary requirements.
Completion
Light nestles the final domino into place and scarcely has a moment to admire the completion of his task before Ryuzaki stretches over and flicks the first piece within reach, sending the whole thing splaying out in a hundred directions.
Clouds
The storage room is so full of dust that when Light slams Ryuzaki back into the shelves, he creates a series of clouds that bloom around his head and shoulders.
Sky
Ryuzaki’s eyes are as deep as the night sky, but staring into them does not reveal the stars- only an endless darkness.
Heaven
Misa is supposed to be dressed as an angel for her photoshoot, but part of her costume seems to have gone missing- hours later, Light finally finds Ryuzaki perched on the roof, a pair of fluffy white wings spreading from his back.
Hell
Sleepless again, Ryuzaki stares at Light’s dozing form, counting every breath, wondering when his punishment will end.
Sun
Light calls him Sisyphus, and Ryuzaki answers with Icarus.
Moon
Light is determined to ignore him, but he does not expect Ryuzaki to drop his jeans and present his ass in a manner that defies any attempts at stoicism.
Waves
His body jerks and shudders, but Ryuzaki doesn’t pull his mouth away until the last wave has faded.
Hair
Considering the impressive volume of hair on his head, the rest of Ryuzaki’s body is surprisingly smooth- except for a faint dark trail that starts at his navel and leads down to the secret places.
Supernova
The first time they climax simultaneously, their bodies strain together and apart in the same instant, their separate universes suddenly connecting with the force of a newborn star exploding into existence.
