Fandom: Original
Pairing: Jasper O'Donnell x Evie Quinn
Theme set: Epsilon
Title: Time Without Limits
Rating: From PG to NC-17
Warning[s]: Not all are mature but several are very mature. These are from a book series I'm working on...slowly, there are major spoilers but seeing as it's not actually out and may never be published I figured that I didn't care.
Notes: In no specific order. If it's inside quotes then there may be more than one sentence because I count quotes as one sentence, cheater I know. Abuse of puctuation, I find that these things make me do that frequently.
#01 - Motion
Everything, everyone, around her was in motion - constant, fast-paced motion - but she was at a permanent stand still.
#02 - Cool
She’d always had a cool demeanor but around him that slipped away and left in its place something remarkably similar to a blushing school girl.
#03 - Young
Young was a relative term; she was youthful and beautiful, he was handsome and fresh yet they were so very, very old and no one would ever know their true age.
#04 - Last
He didn’t care about how many men she’d had before him, though he was jealous of the time they’d gotten to spend with her that he had not, as long as he was her last.
#05 - Wrong
It was wrong for her to want a mortal man like this; she had a secret to protect that she couldn’t afford to risk exposing by dallying with a mortal.
#06 - Gentle
His touch was always so gentle, as if he’d break her; he’d never know that she could tear him limb from limb with barely any effort if she saw fit.
#07 - One
He’d known the moment that he’d set eyes upon her, she was the one; if only she wasn’t resisting him so damn hard.
#08 - Thousand
What terrified her the most was that one day, thousands of years down the road, she would wake up and no longer remember his face, his touch, or the way he made her feel, because no one would ever be able do the same.
#09 - King
She was far closer to royalty than he was, though he did have wealth in his own right, but when he was with her he felt far more powerful than any actual king.
#10 - Learn
He frequently felt as if she was hiding something from him, that there was still so much for him to learn about her, and he fully intended to discover every nuance the her.
#11 - Blur
Time blurred by so fast, yet at the same time it ticked by endlessly; a hundred years was like a blink of an eye to her but it was a lifetime to him.
#12 - Wait
She watched him, laying on the bed with his face contorted in pain, and all she could to was wait for the potion to runs its course, freezing his body exactly as it was now.
#13 - Change
She should have known that it would be different after the change; he had the speed and strength to keep up with her now, to give her what she wanted, what she needed and god did it feel good.
#14 - Command
“Don’t you ever do that again! Don’t you do that to your family! Don’t do that to me! Don’t play hero when we’re here to help you. You didn‘t need to face Donovan on your own,” Jasper commanded as he pulled Evie into a tight embrace.
#15 - Hold
He pulled her close, promising that he would never leave her, and she wanted to laugh and cry at the same time, knowing he couldn’t keep that promise.
#16 - Need
She whimpered as she rubbed her body up against his and he knew what she needed but he made her say it anyway.
#17 - Vision
She had a vision; she sat next to Jasper, curled in his arms with a child that looked remarkably like him in her lap, she immediately dismissed it after all she knew she couldn’t have children.
#18 - Attention
She’d been trying, quite unsuccessfully, all day to get his attention, but when she marched up to him stark naked and cupped him through his trousers with one had and placed the other at the back of his neck to jerk him down into a kiss he figured she had all the attention she wanted and more.
#19 - Soul
She stood before him body and soul bared for him to see and he could tell that she thought that perhaps he would be disappointed, that he didn’t find her pleasing; he spent all night proving her wrong.
#20 - Picture
The picture was very old, from the late 1800s he thought, and in it sat Evie, Cait and Mel, looking the same as they did today, over 100 years later.
#21 - Fool
He felt slightly foolish when he discovered the immortality of Evie and her sisters; he’d had evidence in his hands that pointed to this but he’d dismissed it until Kail told him otherwise.
#22 - Mad
He was mad, he knew it, after all he was giving up his whole life, his mortality, for a woman but he figured that he would gain so much more in becoming immortal like her; besides it was always sad that men and women alike had done some crazy things for love.
#23 - Child
She’d nearly fainted when Kail told her that immortals could bear children; then she panicked when she realized that the statement meant that she was pregnant as she‘d been harshly denying.
#24 - Now
“Jasper O’Donnell, I don’t care how slow and steady you think this should go but I’ve waiting long enough for you. Do it now!” She commanded as she pressed herself up against him and crushed her lips to his.
#25 - Shadow
Evie felt as if she’d gained a second shadow; one that talked and touched and ordered her around and forced her to remind him constantly that being pregnant didn’t suddenly erase the fact that she could in fact take care of herself on top of the unborn baby, or the fact that she was immortal and couldn’t be hurt.
#26 - Goodbye
Watching her walk away, Jasper didn’t understand why she had said goodbye; until Kail appeared next to him, quite willing to explain everything and help him get her back.
#27 - Hide
She was running and she knew it; she was going to hide in the Underground so she didn’t have to deal with the pain of watching him grow old while she didn’t.
#28 - Fortune
“I’m sorry, Evie,” Jasper said, “it looks as if you’re stuck with me for a good long time.”
“Then I must be very fortunate,” Evie smiled.
#29 - Safe
She was alive, thank god, she wasn’t hurt but he caught a glimpse of Donovan behind her and she opened her arms to him, steering him and the others back away from the scene behind her, promising he would explains later; he decided that since she was in his arms, she was safe for now.
#30 - Ghost
Jasper watched Evie interact with him, the man she called a ghost from her past - though he got the feeling that she had not seen the man in a lot longer than she said - and he was jealous; at least until he saw the way that Mel looked upon the man named Kail.
#31 - Book
He began to question what exactly she was when he found the strange, magic-filled book, then he found a whole library full of them.
#32 - Eye
“The eyes are the window to the soul, clichéd right? But if you know how to look, it’s true and I know how to look Jasper, so I know exactly what kind of man you are,” Evie smiled slyly.
#33 - Never
“I’m sorry,” Evie sobbed, “I was scared, I felt that I couldn’t tell you. I’ll never leave you again.”
#34 - Sing
He hadn’t known she could sing and, as he leaned against the bathroom door and listened, he wondered why she didn’t more often.
#35 - Sudden
Suddenly, she realized that she was in love with the man; in love with Jasper O’Donnell, this was not good.
#36 - Stop
When Kail told her what he’d helped Jasper do, everything came to a abrupt halt, time would soon be stopped for him too and Evie demanded that Kail take her to him.
#37 - Time
“Time, I used to think that word meant little to me and then I met you,” Evie sighed as Jasper looked at her in confusion.
#38 - Wash
“Can I join you?” Jasper asked as Evie walked toward the bathroom; she flung some undetermined object at his head and he ducked, chuckling and shouting, “I could wash your back…and other parts.” He thought he heard something along the lines of ‘pervert’ from her direction and he just continued to laugh.
#39 - Torn
The first thing that he felt upon lying back on the bed after downing the liquid contents of the small vial was a whole lot of nothing but the moment he thought this the pain Kail had warned him about shot from his brain, down his spine, into his tail bone and out into his limbs; he felt like he was being torn into pieces.
#40 - History
He’d always wondered how she’d know so much about history over the past 150 years and he thought she was kind of a walking history book or even a walking piece of history when he discovered it was due her having lived that history; she stunned him more when she revealed that she’d been hiding a friend who had a lot more history than her.
#41 - Power
She had power beyond belief and she knew that once she learned more and aged more she would have far more but none of it mattered because it was because of that power that she decided she couldn’t be with the man she loved.
#42 - Bother
“Does it bother you that she is so much more powerful than you, that she will far outlive you, that she’s so much older than you…that she didn’t tell you?” Kail asked Jasper.
He was still in a state of slight shock but he asked, “How do I become like her?”
#43 - God
She no longer believed in a God, she was now what people had long ago considered a god; she lived in a world where fae and other immortals flourished, all under the nose of mortals who did not believe in them.
#44 - Wall
She really didn’t know how it had happened but one second she’d been walking down the hall and the next she had a wall at her back and a Jasper at her front kiss her senseless.
#45 - Naked
She was baring herself to him body and soul; she may have been 160 years old but she had stood before only one other man naked - and only once - and he had left and rejected her so perhaps it wasn’t so ridiculous for her to feel foolish standing in front of Jasper, wanting so badly to cover herself.
#46 - Drive
He drove through Dublin like a mad man, not caring that he could crash, ruin his car and possibly kill himself; his only thought was that Evie had gone off to meet Donovan herself and if he didn’t get to the mansion immediately he may never see her again.
#47 - Harm
“You may be immortal now but you have just changed, meaning Donovan can still very much injure you and I refuse to let that happen,” Evie’s statement only received a glare from Jasper; he hated that she was protecting him when he felt that it should be the other way around.
#48 - Precious
“You are more precious to me than any other thing on this planet,” Jasper whispered, pulling her close.
#49 - Hunger
When he looked at her, the absolute hunger and need in his eyes startled her but what shocked her more was that she knew that the sentiment echoed in her own eyes.
#50 - Believe
To say the least, he was stunned, she could tell by how he simply stared at her wide-eyed and she could tell that he was sure if he should believe her or not; he questioned her, asking the essentially the same thing in a different way every time, but then joy finally spread across his face as he pounced on her and wrapped in his arms as he spun lazy circles, murmuring, “A baby.”
