Reach and Flexibility [Mass Effect] [Commander Shepard x Garrus Vakarian]

Mar 17, 2010 18:34

Fandom: Mass Effect (Mass Effect 2)
Pairing: Commander Shepard (Fem!Shep) x Garrus Vakarian
Theme set: Alpha
Title: Reach and Flexibility
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Massive spoilers for both games, sexual references (nothing too graphic), bit of blood (ditto)
Notes: I don't own the characters or the games (well, I do, but you know what I mean right?). Also, this is my first time posting here, and this hasn't been beta'd. Bring on the fail.

#01 - Comfort: Mordin says a turian's scales are uncomfortable - he's wrong, Shepard decides, because she's nestling against him now and it's the best thing in the world.
#02 - Kiss: Turian mouths aren't made for kissing, but Shepard tries it anyway (and usually succeeds).
#03 - Soft: Shepard may have soft skin, but damn - in battle, Garrus thanks the spirits that he is not on the wrong end of that rifle.
#04 - Pain: The first time is always the most painful, but Shepard adjusts just like she always does.
#05 - Potatoes: Shepard has to explain this one; Garrus eventually realises just what those things are and wonders what they taste like.
#06 - Rain: He didn't realise it at the time, but Garrus loved the way she looked standing in the rain.
#07 - Chocolate: One day he decides enough is enough and steals some of her chocolate when she isn't looking; the look of happiness on her face is worth the slight stomachache later.
#08 - Happiness: Shepard is happiest when Garrus is with her - when she wakes up in an unfamiliar place without him, the world seems darker.
#09 - Telephone: Telephones are purely an Earth thing, but Shepard can still talk to Garrus through her omni-tool.
#10 - Ears: Garrus is fascinated by her ears, and they've passed many conversations with Shepard sitting in his lap while he wonders over these mysterious little ears of hers.
#11 - Name: Her first name is Jane, but calling her 'Shepard' has somehow stopped sounding so informal to him - it's easier, too.
#12 - Sensual: He didn't realise humans were so sensitive, and he takes full advantage of that fact.
#13 - Death: A week after her death, he goes to Omega to find his own death, even if he doesn't realise it at the time.
#14 - Sex: The way they spoke of it at first was purely stress relief, but they both knew, even then, that they both wanted each other.
#15 - Touch: The feeling of Shepard's fingers along the spots where his scales touch skin is so good that he always moans.
#16 - Weakness: Garrus remembers seeing her so crumpled after nearly losing Kaidan on Virmire; she looks so weak and he wanted to help her cope.
#17 - Tears: Shepard never cries, so seeing the way she weeps after Horizon makes him feel so helpless.
#18 - Speed: Shepard only falls behind when injured; she's so fast, not being able to see her makes him nervous.
#19 - Wind: The wind whistles past her on the Dantius Tower bridge, and somehow she slides over the edge - but a strong, three-fingered hand clasps hers.
#20 - Freedom: After the destruction of the Collector base, they're free for a little while.
#21 - Life: Living without Shepard was like living without eating - He'd done it before, but he'd felt ready to die.
#22 - Jealousy: He sees the way Jacob looks at her sometimes and realises he's halfway to pulling out his gun without ever realising.
#23 - Hands: Her hands are always gentle, touching all those little place that make him moan.
#24 - Taste: Garrus risks stomach upsets or worse every time he and Shepard are together, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
#25 - Devotion: He once told Shepard that he didn't think he was a good turian; but he realises he is quite devoted to Shepard.
#26 - Forever: The way she arches and calls his name is intoxicating, and he wants those moments to last forever.
#27 - Blood: Shepard vividly remembers seeing Garrus lying in a rapidly-widening pool of ultramarine blood, and prays she never has to see it again.
#28 - Sickness: Every time they decide on a little more than 'normal' sex, one of them winds up in the bathroom a few hours later.
#29 - Melody: Sometimes Shepard wonders if a turian singer could harmonise with themselves - Garrus comes damn close to it in bed, and it's the best sound in the world.
#30 - Star: The stars are tiny pinpricks on a black backdrop, and sometimes they make up their own constellations.
#31 - Home: Earth is a touchy subject for Shepard, and more than once he's accidentally said something that makes her break down in tears.
#32 - Confusion: When she first suggests that they 'blow off steam' together, Garrus was confused - confused that she finally seemed to feel the same way.
#33 - Fear: He remembers the fear on her face, the tears pricking her eyes, as he lay dying on Omega.
#34 - Lightning/Thunder: Garrus sounds a bit like thunder with all that deep flanging on his voice, Shepard thinks.
#35 - Bonds: Who knew Garrus kept his old C-Sec handcuffs?
#36 - Market: He can see the exasperation on Shepard's face as she steps past Saronis Applications to the tune of "I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite store on the Citadel."
#37 - Technology: Whenever Shepard sees Garrus, she thanks whatever gods are out there that the Normandy had the technology to stop him from dying.
#38 - Gift: That bottle of wine was never actually drunk - it's still sitting on the table, a memento of that little awkward moment before the Relay.
#39 - Smile: Turians can't really smile, so Garrus loves it when Shepard does it - and she always does around him.
#40 - Innocence: Commander Shepard was well-versed in saving the galaxy, and slightly less so when it came to 'bedroom matters'.
#41 - Completion: "You complete me," she says - Garrus just wishes she knew that it held true the other way around, too.
#42 - Clouds: The clouds on the Presidium are perfect, yes, but they pale when compared to Shepard.
#43 - Sky: The sky on Illium makes Shepard dizzy, but he's always there to catch her.
#44 - Heaven: Once, Garrus asked if Shepard believed in Heaven - and she told him that she was already there.
#45 - Hell: Everyone has their own, personal hell; for Garrus, it was being on Omega for two years knowing she was dead.
#46 - Sun: He remembers Haestrom only too well - a dying sun leaving Shepard's skin scorched for a while.
#47 - Moon: Illium's twin moons made Shepard's hair a gleam of fire as they stood and watched the still-bustling city.
#48 - Waves: Garrus remembers the waves the Mako made, Shepard making it careen down the slope at a breakneck pace while the Conduit glowed ahead.
#49 - Hair: He loves Shepard's hair, always smelling of vanilla - of her.
#50 - Supernova: Supernovae outshine the brightest stars, and sometimes it feels like Shepard is a supernova.
