Fandom: Animorphs
Pairing: Rachel / Tobias
Theme set: Epsilon
Rating: PG
These're in more-or-less chronological order, and though there's not a coherent story, I kind of like how it worked out.
SPOILERS! for the whole series, and a couple of the Megamorphs - as would be expected, given the pairing.
(
From the least popular pairing to the all-around favorite... (warning: spoilers!) )

Such longing and bittersweetness - my favourite, I think, is #25.
Great work.

Can you tell I'm an angst-puppy?

V. nicely done. This makes me want to go back and reread Animorphs all over again though I keep telling myself that I'm most definitely over those books xD

I've been saying that I'm over these books since before #30 came out, but fandom seems to have reclaimed me anyway. ;) (Psst, animorphs! ;D )

Fantastic. They're all fantastic. And the final one? Appropriate for the theme "stop," since that's what my heart nearly did. The Tobias/Rachel pairing is twisted and gorgeous and your have portrayed it perfectly.

"Twisted" is definitely a good word to describe them; they're young and messed up and use each other to try to pretend things are better than they are...and I love them anyway. ;)

My favorites:
-"So," he says casually as they walk together, hand in hand, through the darkness, "do you suppose there's life on other planets?"
-He kisses her because she's alive, because her body is whole again when he had thought her gone; she kisses back because he looks cute in that sweater, ignorant of the fate she was spared.
-Rachel never cries, of course, although he's seen her do so more than all of the others combined. (Favorite of the whole batch, as this is something I've said myself about Rachel.)
-Each thinks they know of their own weaknesses, but does not realize that seeing only strength in the other is a weakness, too. (R/T summed up in one sentence perfectly.)
-"They're all about hope," he observes afterwards with a smile, but Rachel's eyes are sad when he turns to look at her: "Yeah," she mutters, "I need to change that."
-He will die inside of Rachel and it seems fitting, somehow, since that was where he had lived ( ... )
