Fandom: Kuroshitsuji
Pairing: Sebastian Michaelis x Ciel Phantomhive
Theme Set: Epsilon
Rating: PG-13 overall
Warning[s]: Uhm... possibly might be underageness... oh, sheeat. Maybe we could pretend Ciel is 18?
Notes: This was frickin' begging to be written, man. The themes matched so awesomely, it's scary.
01. Motion
No man, alive or dead, could quite match the fluid, deadly movement of his butler, Ciel thinks; they all tried, and then they were cut down before they could blink, and Ciel would try not to laugh with delight.
02. Cool
Ciel marvels in the way Sebastian's hands remain cool and hard even as they dance across his rapidly heating skin.
03. Young
Sebastian once mentions how he is almost grateful to be a demon, to feel no guilt or shame, and when Ciel becomes confused he only says, "You are so young."
04. Last
Sebastian is there for Ciel's first truly angry frown, and for his last truly happy smile.
05. Wrong
"It is a good thing that this... us... is so horribly wrong, Sebastian, else I might come to be far too attached."
06. Gentle
Sebastian always offers to be slow and gentle, and Ciel always turns him down, and Sebastian listens even though they both know "I can handle it" is not an adequate explanation.
07. One
There is only one master Sebastian thinks he may have truly cared for.
08. Thousand
Sebastian would not give up Ciel even if he were promised a thousand souls in return.
09. King
Perhaps, in the chain of command, Sebastian sort of serves Queen Elizabeth; but it's no matter, to him, Ciel's word will always be supreme because Ciel will always be king.
10. Learn
Ciel knows Sebastian only tells him he's 'too inexperienced to try that' in order to goad him into begging to be taught.
11. Blur
Ciel's life passed in a happy, meaningless blur, right up until Sebastian first said, "Yes, My Lord."
12. Wait
Sebastian is prepared to wait an eternity in order to taste Ciel's soul one time.
13. Change
Demons are steadfast and unchanging, and so Ciel is the one who is forced to mold his thoughts and ideals and his whole being to fit them together.
14. Command
Maybe Ciel is the one giving orders, but at times it seems as though Sebastian is the true master.
15. Hold
There are times when Ciel longs to ask Sebastian to hold him, just once, but he doesn't, mostly because he's afraid of what may happen if he does.
16. Need
It's true that they both need each other equally, but Ciel will always be secretly convinced and ashamed that he needs Sebastian more.
17. Vision
Sometimes Ciel wonders if all Sebastian sees when he looks at him is merely another meal.
18. Attention
Ciel doesn't ever need to remind Sebastian to pay attention when he's speaking; sometimes, he actually has to say that it's enough, he can look away.
19. Soul
"I won't tell exactly what we do with them, but... demons get hungry as well, you know."
20. Picture
Ciel scoffs at those who try to entice him with promises of 'holding onto the memories forever,' when he knows that Sebastian will be with him to the end.
21. Fool
The bodies piled up, idiots who shared the one mistake of attempting to harm the Earl in front of his butler.
22. Mad
They get angry in ways that are uncannily similar to one another's, and neither will admit how frightened the other's wrath makes him feel.
23. Child
Ciel Phantomhive is young in body, certainly, but his spirit is already twisted and tainted far beyond his years.
24. Now
In truth, Ciel realises, there is nothing keeping Sebastian from killing him and taking it now.
25. Shadow
Sebastian will be there to pick up the remains when Ciel becomes a shadow.
26. Goodbye
There is only one person Ciel knows he will never have to say good-bye to.
27. Hide
Sebastian has no feelings to hide from Ciel, while Ciel only pretends he doesn't.
28. Fortune
All the riches in the world would not be enough to seperate the Lord from his butler, and Sebastian is oddly prideful about this.
29. Sate
Ciel once asked, out of morbid curiosity perhaps, if Sebastian ever got hungry waiting for him, and Sebastian only replied that it was worth the wait, for Ciel would fill him for centuries to come.
30. Ghost
Ciel isn't afraid of the souls who remain, because he knows that Sebastian is a thousand times worse than any vengeful dead.
31. Book
Sebastian mockingly offers him books and stories about demons, and Ciel only murmurs in disgust that, 'nothing of that sort is quite as interesting as watching you work, Sebastian.'
32. Eye
Ciel isn't certain if he should be flattered or frightened that he is the one who most often causes Sebastian's eyes to turn purple.
33. Never
"When you say you'll never harm me, Sebastian, I can't trust you and it shows you're only a liar."
34. Sing
It's unnerving, how much power Sebastian's voice has over him during those rare occasions.
35. Sudden
Ciel doesn't like being surprised, something Sebastian delights in exploiting.
36. Stop
"Sebastian, If I tell you to stop... I order you to ignore me."
37. Time
Ciel knows he has all the time in the world to exact his revenge, but it's a bitter feeling, because he also knows that afterwards, there will be no time left at all.
38. Wash
There is nothing that can cleanse Ciel of his sins now, so he doesn't even bother to try.
39. Torn
Sebastian sometimes feels like there is a rift forming between what his instincts tell him to do, and what his blackened, withered heart wants him to do.
40. History
Ciel wonders if, when all's said and done and he's dead, they'll put him down in history as 'eaten' or 'captured' or 'tempted' or maybe just 'gone.'
41. Power
Ciel resists the urge to balk and struggle when Sebastian pins him down, both because he is frightened and because he could end up killed sooner than their contract dictated.
42. Bother
Sebastian is very, very good at hiding how much Elizabeth irritates him when she touches his lord.
43. God
Ciel proclaimed boastingly that he would of course choose Sebastian over God, not realising he had already long since done so.
44. Wall
They are divided in race, age, intent, wisdom, and, deep down, in purity.
45. Naked
Sebastian is the one who dresses him every day; he shouldn't feel so ashamed, being unclothed.
46. Drive
Ciel's words can drive Sebastian into doing things he's never imagined of himself.
47. Harm
"If you were to see me in my true form, My Lord, there would be no further guarantees that I could keep you safe from harm."
48. Precious
To Sebastian, Ciel is a precious possession, something only he is free to taunt and tease and taint.
49. Hunger
When Ciel bravely asks if it will hurt, saliva pools under his tongue and Sebastian has to remind himself to devour the boy slowly.
50. Believe
It sort of hurt them both, the way that somewhere deep down, Ciel believed Sebastian when he said "I love you," believed him with all that he had left.
