weasleyfan #01 - Comfort: He sighs and rolls his eyes when he returns home to find her snoring lightly, leaning down to pick her up he easily carries her into the other room.
#02 - Kiss: She laughs against his lips as his fingers slide over her ribs, lightly tickling her until she grabs his hands; his mouth is soft and warm at first, but she sighs when his tongue presses forward into her mouth.
#03 - Soft: Most people think they’re crazy and only a select few even start to understand; Hermione forgives them because they’ve never looked into his eyes, deep and dark and soft and seen all the things she does.
#04 - Pain: Severus snarls, looking at her like he used to in a different life and she can’t help feeling like nothing at all: but she always forgives him; he's never been good at expressing how he feels.
#05 - Potatoes: She spends all afternoon making dinner, knowing today is only another day; but she recognises it as an anniversary “Pass the potatoes,” he says, meeting her eyes across the table and saying everything all at once.
#06 - Rain: They disagreed on if they should go, Hermione insists that it’s Harry’s birthday and she has to be there; on one of her frequent clock-checks, she sees someone get the door; Severus shakes the rain off his umbrella and she looks away before he can see she’s watching him.
#07 - Chocolate: Hermione makes two cups of hot chocolate, floating a pink marshmallow in both; he makes a sound of disgust when she hands it to him, but drinks it anyway it’s just not Christmas Eve without it.
#08 - Happiness: Severus pulls a book out of his bag, setting it down beside her and placing a kiss on her temple; looking at the cover and then at the last trace of black robes disappearing around the corner, she smiles wonders when it was things changed.
#09 - Telephone: She gets out of the shower to find him cursing at someone on the other end of the line “Severus!” Hermione looks shocked, worrying about a workmate he might have insulted “Who on earth was that?” He scowls at her, crossing his arms “I think they had the wrong phone address,” Severus mutters.
#10 - Ears: He gently slips the emerald earring into place, lips ghosting over the tender flesh as he whispers into her ear.
#11 - Name: There is something about seeing his name written across the note on the counter, her neat curled handwriting makes him smile; it doesn’t even matter what it says inside.
#12 - Sensual: When he holds the door open, Hermione can tell he’s pleased with himself; candles line the edge of the bath and she lets out a sigh of delight.
#13 - Death: It’s late when he gets home and he’s surprised to see the lights are out; he can smell whisky on her as soon as he enters the kitchen, upon seeing her he sneers, “Bad day at work was it?” When she doesn’t speak he clicks his tongue, frustrated and not wanting to admit he’s worried; she looks up at him with wide watery eyes “Hermione, what’s happened?”
#14 - Sex: Severus braces himself above her, staring down into glassy hooded eyes as he brings his hand up to trace a soft line down her cheek; her toes curl as he slowly draws back and pushes forward, a groan falling from his parted lips.
#15 - Touch: His head is settled on the pillow, breath deep and steady and she watches him; reaching out she gently pushes his hair off his cheek, before settling down beside him.
#16 - Weakness: She hasn’t slept but he tries to be quiet as he slips through the doorway; there are no 'sorries', no taking back of angry words as he slides under the sheets behind her; neither says anything as he burries his face in her hair and the sun starts to rise.
#17 - Tears: “What on earth do you think he sees in a girl young enough to be his daughter?” She holds back furious tears as she slaps Ron right across the face, “He sees me, Ron, just me.”
#18 - Speed: Hermione doesn’t quite understand, but when he leans down and tugs on her ear with his teeth, she feels like she’s going a hundred miles an hour.
#19 - Wind: They stand together until the heating charms have worn off their clothes and the cold air slips down their collars; exchanging fierce kisses so neither has to be the first to say goodbye.
#20 - Freedom: “Pack a bag” He smiles at her across the table, reminding her of the cat that ate the canary; “Why’s that?” Hermione asks, not being able to help but grin; “I thought Paris, maybe Spain.”
#21 - Life: Things are different now, routine. “See you when I get home from work.” Hermione says as she drains the last from her cup. “Taken to stating the obvious have you?” She rolls her eyes at him and gives him a quick kiss; too busy appreciating this is the norm to tell him he’s an arse.
#22 - Jealousy: “Have fun with The Boy Hero and Weasel did you?” He growls the moment she sets her keys down. “Have they convinced you of my sins yet?” Hermione raises her eyebrow at him as she puts the kettle on. “No, but there’s always next time.”
#23 - Hands: “Isn’t it wonderful?” She asks, catching stray snowflakes on her hand “Are you quite right there? You silly girl?” He takes her hand with another roll of his eyes, gently entwining their fingers.
#24 - Taste: Mouths meet in the soft silence, the room too dark for the two to make out each other's features; Severus groans as her tongue gently explores the depths of his mouth, tasting each inch of him.
#25 - Devotion: “I turned down the promotion.” Hermione says, feeling his chest tighten beneath her; “You shouldn’t have done that” Severus replies, voice sharp as his hand drifts over her back; “I know.”
#26 - Forever: He holds the ring out and when she nods Severus slips it onto her finger; it doesn’t change them; they don’t start acting out of sorts but the silent understanding is there and they know this is it.
#27 - Blood: It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes he bites down too hard, teeth piercing into her neck and drawing small pinpricks of blood; he runs his thumb over the raised bumps, leaning down to litter the pale skin with soft kisses.
#28 - Sickness: “I made you this, it should help,” He hands her the fresh potion and she takes it with a grateful smile, before sneezing four times in succession.
#29 - Melody: Hermione shifts uncomfortably, trying to accommodate for the swell of her stomach as she rolls onto her side; she can hear him humming softly, a tune under his breath, his hand spread across her stomach.
# 30- Star: Looking up into the scattering of tiny lights, she knows they’ll need a miracle and as the stars twinkle and he stirs behind her, Hermione thinks it just might happen.
#31 - Home: “It seems highly inconvenient for you to travel to and from, your house to mine; not to mention the financial drain of the rent,” Severus says over the top of the paper he’s reading; “Most of my things are already here,” She agrees, placing toast on her plate, “Yes, I know, I found something pink in my closet this morning.”
#32 - Confusion: “I love you…” She says, kissing the side of his neck “What?” Severus sounds like she’s smacked him across his face; “You heard me,” Hermione laughs as she heads towards the lounge room; “Yes… I guess I did…”
#33 - Fear: He wakes up grasping at the sheets, sweat pouring from his brow, Hermione sits up beside him, her hand gently running up and down his back; minutes pass before he leans over and kisses her, all teeth and tongue and too hard, her hands tug at his hair and pull him closer.
#34 - Lightening/Thunder: Light streaks through the sky and Hermione jumps, quickly scurrying into the other room “Don’t tell me you’re afraid of a storm,” He sneers as she settles herself on the floor between his knees, reaching for her book “Okay, I won’t.”
#35 - Bonds: “Pass the sugar,” Hermione says as she tucks her hair behind her ear “I already put one in,” he replies; she smiles as she lifts her cup to her lips, just how she likes it.
#36 - Market: “Top shelf, third book from the right?” Hermione says into his ear, “Mmm, fourth shelf, far left,” he adds and she nods.
#37 - Technology: The chirp of her pager sounds next to the bed and he growls, reaching across to grab it; he throws it as far as he can, smiling as he hears it hit the wall in the other room.
#38 - Gift: She doesn’t expect him to remember, after all she never even told him the date but when she gets up the owl is waiting, package wrapped neatly in black shiny paper with a green ribbon; the tag says Happy Birthday but isn’t signed.
#39 - Smile: “What on earth do you see in him?” Ginny asks on one of her visits; Hermione just smiles and shakes her head.
#40 - Innocence: The room’s finally quiet and he leans over the edge of the bassinet, it’s all happened too quickly and sometimes he’s sure it won’t work out; He’s glad the baby looks like her, button nosed and sweet, she adjusts in her sleep and balls her tiny fists.
#41 - Completion: He leans down so he can burry his face in her hair, almost sobbing as he spills into her hand with one last thrust.
#42 - Clouds: Hermione doesn’t know how long she’s been lying there, but there is someone moving above her and they reach down and press their fingers into her throat to feel for a pulse, “Yes…” The voice sounds relieved as she slips back into unconsciousness.
#43 - Sky: Hermione finds herself standing on the porch, looking at the rainbow that’s formed in the last few minutes; his hands gently slide up under her shirt and she sighs, letting her head fall back to rest against his shoulder so all she can see is sky.
#44 - Heaven: Severus can’t help himself, he can’t help but press his hips forward until he’s encased in her, soft warmth surrounding him in one smooth stroke; “Good, so good.”
#45 - Hell: Hermione rests her palm against the smooth but tattooed skin, eyes closing as tears runs down her cheek and over his Dark Mark.
#46 - Sun: The light reflects off the white, snow and sun melting together into the grass; the sun falls across his face, making closed eyes twitch in the sudden brightness, she sends a charm across the room to pull the curtains closed.
#47 - Moon: He takes her hand with a smirk, pulling her against the hard lines of his body; moonlight winds through her hair and his hand follows, pulling her lips against his.
#48 - Waves: It had been her idea to come here; she wanted to look out to sea and see nothing on the horizon waves crashed onto the shore and he sneers “So, there’s your horizon, happy now?” Hermione rolls her eyes and wraps her arms around his neck “Yeah, happy now.”
#49 - Hair: When she stands in the shower, her hair sticks to her skin, reaching right down her back, flat and shiny and lacking all the personality he won’t admit he’s fond of.
#50 - Supernova: His eyes hold hers across the table, dark and unreadable. Hermione can’t help but blush; not even a supernova couldn't have broken their eye contact.
