To pimp Lux's existance

Sep 21, 2006 21:56

Fandom: Kingdom Hearts
Pairing: Xigbar x Luxord
Challenge Table: Beta
Rating: Everything from PG to NC-17
Author’s Notes: OMG SPOILERS!! Only if you haven’t gotten to the World That Never Was. And there are many things I’d like to say about these sentences, but I find that it would take up pages of your reading time anyway, so I won’t. Also, this isn’t even my OTP - that’s Xaldin/Xiggy - but I like this one too. It was fun to write. So enjoy. OR ELSE. And yes, numero 23 is supposed tp have a certain irony about it.

01. Walking - When Xigbar first saw Luxord walking down the hall in the opposite direction, he couldn’t help but stop dead and think of a thousand things that he’d like to do to the Tenth when Xemnas wasn’t looking.

02. Waltz - When Xigbar waltzes into the room with that certain swagger, everyone seems to know exactly what sort of treatment he’s flaunting.

03. Wishes - If Luxord had three wishes, he thinks as he watches Sora approach, they would be these: to have his heart back, to win the jackpot in every casino in Las Vegas, and to have Xigbar back.

04. Wonder - Sometimes Xigbar can’t help but wonder if Luxord would be up for a threesome from time to time.

05. Worry - Luxord can’t help that he worries when he sees Xigbar with that dazed look, gazing off at one of the other Organization members; he knows that the Second has had more than one of the members in his bed.

06. Whimsy - Both Two and Ten were whimsical in the slightestest, so it baffled Xemnas to no end when they “secretly” met beneath the glow of Kingdom Hearts in that idealistic fashion, leaving their hopes that weren’t unspoken.

07. Waste/Wasteland - The World That Never Was is a kind of wasteland in itself, and yet somehow in this wasteland there was something - perhaps it was the glow of Kingdom Hearts - that drove the nobodies to feel again, even if they were only old memories of feeling revived and refreshed with different people.

08. Whiskey and Rum - Xigbar preferred whiskey while Luxord preferred rum and when they kissed it made for one hell of a mixer.

09. War - They were waging a war against the keyblade bearer, though it hadn’t started that way, and since then every time one of them left to patrol, the other secretly prayed to a god that neither believed in that the other would make it safely back to the castle.

10. Weddings - When Xigbar had joking mentioned a Canadian wedding with the Tenth to the Superior in one of the meetings there had been numerous results; Luxord has spit whatever liquid he had been sipping across the table, Demyx squealed something about wanting to be in it, Xaldin gave Xigbar a look that screamed shock (which was very unusual for the Third), and Xemnas had started a monologue about why fraternization was forbidden in the Organization’s ranks - that taught the sniper to never bring it up again, no matter how jokingly.

11. Birthday - Xigbar almost wished that they celebrated birthdays as nobodies, so that Luxord would let him win at strip poker for just one day out of the year.

12. Blessing - If they had hearts and had kept in contact with their families, Xigbar would most definitely not have Luxord’s mother’s blessing - the large bruises left on the Gambler’s neck due to the Sniper’s rough tongue and lips were proof enough of that.

13. Bias - “I may be slightly biased on this matter Xigbar, but no one loses with quite the same grace as you do when it comes to strip poker.”

14. Burning - There was a certain burning sensation that had swept through Luxord’s body when Xigbar entered him, or perhaps that was merely the fever he had managed to attain on the seas of Port Royal.

15. Breathing - When Luxord first brought his lips to Xigbar’s nipples there was a moment, however brief, where the Sniper forgot what breathing was.

16. Breaking - When Xigbar had blown hot air in the Gambler’s ears, muttering words of want and sex, he had no idea that it would work so well to break Luxord’s poker face, nor had he any idea that Luxord would take the utterance so seriously - not that he was complaining.

17. Belief - They couldn’t believe any more, but they could pretend, so they pretended to hope that they would get their hearts back so they wouldn’t have to pretend anymore.

18. Balloon - It was when Xigbar had attempted to use a condom as a helium-filled balloon that Luxord began questioning any and all of his previous statements on the Freeshooter’s intelligence and sanity.

19. Balcony - Saïx’s balcony was definitely not a choice location for their nightly romps, as the Freeshooter and Gambler of Fate found out very quickly, but that didn’t stop Xigbar’s constant need for the rush you got when running a risk.

20. Bane - Xigbar likes to play at being the bane of everyone’s existence by exploiting his power as the Second and when Luxord questions him, Xigbar just grins and replies that the only orders of any real significance are the commands given to Luxord in bed.

21. Quiet - There was a certain moment when the entire castle was quiet that Xigbar had always found most irking; now he aimed to force the loudest noises from Luxord at this exact moment, which, with success, never failed to bring a grin to his lips.

22. Quirks - Everyone has their quirks, but that talent that Luxord has when it comes to his tongue is not one of them.

23. Question - “Luxord, sometimes I question your sanity.”

24. Quarrel - They quarrel just as everyone else does, but they differ from everyone else in that the make up sex is ten times better.

25. Quitting - Sometimes Luxord just felt like quitting, leaving Xigbar to whoever he wants to fuck, but when Xigbar grabs his arm and pulls him in for a harsh, possessive kiss, those thoughts abandon him completely and he wonders how he even thought such things.

26. Jump - Xigbar didn’t jump often, but when he did it was for one of two reasons, you had either tried to take off his eye patch or had attempted to take out his pony tail and Luxord had succeeded at both without warranting a damn flinch from the other.

27. Jester - Xemnas was quickly becoming quite frustrated with Xigbar’s constant immaturity and when the Sharpshooter had stolen Luxord’s complete wardrobe, leaving him to wander the castle stark naked, something snapped in the Superior, “Two, no one appointed you the King’s Fool, stop acting as one and give Luxord his clothes back, this King is not amused by his self-appointed jester.”

28. Jousting - For Luxord and Xigbar a joust of words quickly turns to wrestling, which would become kisses and passion with an even greater speed, which only leads to sex, moans and barely uttered, delusional words of devotion in the moment passion escaping both Two and Ten’s lips.

29. Jewel - Neither Luxord or Xigbar were much for formalities, so no rock on a ring was presented, all they needed to know what was felt in their nonexistent hearts was made accessible at the less than secret rendezvous and in what was said there.

30. Just - Xigbar was something of a closet-cuddler, but when it was just the Sharpshooter and the Gambler, Xigbar would let his arms wrap around the other and rest his head in the crook of Luxord’s neck and if he could he would stay like that until the end.

31. Smirk - There was a look Xigbar got occasionally, a certain smirk that communicated things to Luxord that no one else could read or didn’t really know or care what was meant, and when that smirk crossed the Freeshooter’s face, two words crossed the Gambler’s mind: oh shit.

32. Sorrow - They couldn’t feel sorrow, but Luxord felt the hollow feeling in his chest deepen upon the sight of Xigbar fading and he thought that the feeling had to be something akin to sorrow, he couldn’t think of what else it could be.

33. Stupidity - Xigbar was not stupid, though he did have a terrible tendency to forget his common sense when forced to sit through the Superior’s monologues that made Luxord worry.

34. Serenade - There had been a time that everyone in the castle recalled, after too many drinks and kisses, when Xigbar had tried to serenade Luxord and now every time anyone starts the bloody tune to that damned tequila song - eight-hundred and eighty-two curses on the man who wrote it - Luxord feels like hurling.

35. Sarcasm - Luxord could only guess if Xigbar was being serious or sarcastic when he had asked Luxord to try on that pink gown.

36. Sordid - A grim, sordid look crosses Luxord’s face as he spies a new wound gracing Xigbar’s stomach; too often Xigbar comes to him with new hurts at night and Luxord recalls what it is to worry for someone’s safety.

37. Soliloquy - Shakespeare wrote soliloquies, the Superior monologues on Kingdom Hearts, and Vexen lectures on science; Xigbar keeps his thoughts and statements short, though often they leave Luxord puzzled and pensive.

38. Sojourn - Their stay at the Castle was meant to be short, they were supposed to obtain their goal, their hearts, and afterwards they were meant to move on, but their sojourn had never ended, neither of them survived.

39. Share - They had no feelings to share, so instead they shared body heat, pretending that there was something more behind the act, pretending that they could feel.

40. Solitary - There are times when they will be on missions, patrolling by themselves or some other solitary thing that the Superior has assigned to them, and their bodies will recall the physical aspects of loneliness - the cold, the pain in one’s chest, and the tears - and still they can not feel the emotions that their bodies remember so well.

41. Nowhere - When Xemnas had brought it to the Second and Tenth’s attention the rule of fraternization and how clearly they were breaking it, Xigbar casually responded that because they lived nowhere, and they technically didn’t exist, they really weren’t fucking at all, because really, how can two nothings fuck?

42. Neutral - There are times when Xigbar’s act of emotion breaks and he shows the true side of a nobody, nothing, an expression that is completely neutral and stoic, and when that true side shows Luxord feels a pang where his heart used to be; he knows that he’s done something truly wrong, for the walls have been built between them and they are too high to climb at this point.

43. Nuance - Emotion for them is only a nuance of what it used to be; they aren’t truly feeling, but they are just a few shades under it, and it teases them with memories of what they might have once been able to feel, but now they cannot, and it doesn’t affect them in the slightest.

44. Near - Xigbar likes to be near Luxord, he likes to inhale the other’s scent when the Gambler is asleep, he likes to feel the skin under his hands and fingers, and he likes to tease Luxord’s facial hair just because he can; to him, these small physical things are to be near, for they can’t truly get any closer.

45. Natural - Things are natural between the two of them, the flow of time is easy and smooth when they are together and the conversation drifted effortlessly from one topic to another; it was just as natural when they kissed, pushing up against each other and fitting perfectly, like a puzzle, two bodies entirely in sync with the other.

46. Horizon - In other worlds they could watch the sun fall beneath the horizon and the moon rise high into the sky, but in the World That Never Was, they were stuck in an eternity where there was no sun or moon, only Kingdom Hearts, and it wasn’t as though they could feel the romantic air of the act in other worlds anyway.

47. Valiant - Xigbar could not say he was fearless and valiant, for while he spoke calm words to the keyblade bearer, even though he could not feel, he was scared; he had seen Xaldin fall against this one child, one rank was hardly any difference to be honest, and he had something to live for, however false the emotion may be and however nonexistent they truly were.

48. Virtuous - “Xigbar, quit that virtuous act, I know for a fact that you have three aces hidden up your sleeve.”

49. Victory - Xemnas had assigned Two and Ten as sparring partners, which would have been fine if the Superior had not insisted upon sitting in to be sure that Xigbar was not going easy on the younger member, and when the Sharpshooter had left the Gambler bloodied on the floor of the Hall of Empty Melodies, too many gun shot wounds to one body alone, it had not felt like a victory, though it had been easy enough, rather Xigbar felt sick to his stomach, as though he should be the one spitting up blood, not Luxord.

50. Defeat - The defeat had come before Sora had even entered the room for Luxord, it had come when Xigbar had faded into nothing; it was then that the Tenth had surrendered himself to the same fate - what would be the point of gaining his own heart back if all he would feel would be misery, remorse and mourning?
