Heaven: The minister’s words echoed in her head and she felt Horatio shift his feet as he stood next to her; neither could look at the casket.
Death: She cried into his lapel after the funeral, “We see death every day, why should his be any different?”
Tears: Hot tears flowed down her cheeks and soaked into his lapel, as she finally let herself go to cry at the loss of a friend.
Speed: Calleigh looked into his eyes and saw that he grieved for him too, although he may not show it; they both missed Speed.

Rain: Huddling together under the umbrella, Calleigh shivered and Horatio instinctively tucked his arm around her.
Chocolate: Her father had sent her a box of chocolates for Valentine’s Day, and she shared them among her friends; Horatio took one and popped it into his mouth with a wink and a smile.
Telephone: Her words were heard by him and only him, as if she were there, whispering them directly into his ear; he smiled at the thought.
Ears: The box that had been delivered to Calleigh contained two mismatched ears; Horatio looked at them and wondered if the victims were still alive.
Name: She would never tell him this, but when he said her name, her full name, it sent shockwaves through her, to her very core; her name sounded so beautiful on his lips.
Sensual: Horatio watched her mouth as she spoke, and although she was talking about the murder of an innocent, he wanted nothing more than to taste her lips, her skin.
Touch: When the gunfire began he pushed her to the ground, landing on top of her, and if it weren’t for the gunplay she would have enjoyed it.
Weakness: She always did have a weakness for redheads with blue eyes; his weakness was blondes with guns.
Wind: A storm was blowing up out on the ocean and the wind tore at Calleigh’s hair; H watched, thinking about running his fingers through it and feeling it on his skin.
Lightning/Thunder: The storm blew in and Calleigh took shelter at Horatio’s home, neither wanting to leave the comfort of his bed.
Freedom: Horatio always felt righteous when a person was proved innocent; Calleigh always liked to see the smile in his eyes when an innocent person was released from custody.
Life: The image of Horatio holding a newborn was burned into her mind, and for a brief moment she forgot the body of the child’s dead mother, and wished the infant belonged to the two of them.
Jealousy: Yes, she was Eric’s sister, and now H’s wife, but she was still terribly jealous of her.
Hands: As he handed her the bagged evidence, her fingers brushed against his and they glanced at each other, looking for a sign that the other felt the same way.
Technology: All the gadgets the lab had couldn’t tell him if she felt the same way.
Taste: At the diner Calleigh took a bite of grits and closed her eyes in pleasure; Horatio captured that look in his mind, to remember later.
Sun: Horatio squinted in the sunlight, mad at himself for leaving his sunglasses on the nightstand; Calleigh approached and handed them to him with a knowing smile.
Devotion: He was devoted to his job as was she, but at night when the day was over, they could devote themselves to each other.
Home: He dropped the keys on the coffee table, and smiled at his houseguest for the fourth night in a row.
Sickness: Horatio sneezed as he opened the door to see Calleigh standing there with a thermos of chicken soup.
Melody: As the stretcher was wheeled out the front door, an ice cream truck rolled by looking for children; Horatio raised an eyebrow and Calleigh stifled a giggle.
Star: Horatio took his eyes from the victim at his feet to look into the heavens, toward the only witnesses to the crime; Calleigh snaps another picture and looks at him, wishing they were elsewhere.
Moon: He looks down at her, the moonlight reflecting off her hair, and in that moment she looks just like an angel.
Fear: Even though the gun barrel was cold against her temple, and the suspect’s arm was tight around her neck, she stared into Horatio’s eyes and was calmed.
Gift: It was sitting on her desk when she arrived that morning; the card read, “To my Darling Calleigh, I love you.”
Smile: He didn’t smile often, so when he did she always remembered it; when his smile was directed at her she would melt inside.
Innocence: She couldn’t have been more than 6 years old, and Horatio held her closely trying to stop her tears; Calleigh looked on, tears in her own eyes.
Completion: Sealing the box, she put it away with a sigh, happy that she caught the rapist, unaware that Horatio was watching her from the shadows.
Clouds: She saw the building collapse, and as she watched the dust billowing, her heart hoped that Horatio got out in time.
Hell: The fire burned everything, and all Horatio and his team could do was wait until the firemen cleared the house; Calleigh brushed her arm against his and looked up into his face.
Confusion: When his lips first touched hers, she resisted slightly, but quickly relaxed into his warm embrace.
Kiss: Her lips were soft and warm, and Horatio couldn’t help running his tongue over them.
Soft: Calleigh combed her fingers through his hair, and he rolled his head into her palm, relishing the sensation of her skin on his own.
Hair: Her hair fell across his naked chest; as he traced his fingers down her naked arms, she sighed happily as a shiver of anticipation flooded through her.
Waves: The most glorious sound waves are those that carry the affection of his lover on them.
Sex: She cried out his name and he loved the way it sounded, accentuated by sighs and moans.
Supernova: With an explosion in his mind and body, he stared into her eyes, never wanting to leave her.
Sky: Staring into his face, she couldn’t be sure if she was looking into the sky, or into his eyes.
Blood: Lying next to her, he rested his head on her chest and listened to the beat of her heart; it was fast and her skin was warm to the touch.
Comfort: When he wrapped his arms around her, and held her tightly, she felt secure - safe and comfortable.
Happiness: He was happiest when he felt that he was protecting someone, and as Horatio held Calleigh, he was very happy.
Bonds: As Tripp put handcuffs on the suspect and led him away, Horatio caught Calleigh’s surreptitious smile at the memory from the previous evening.
Market: He touched the glass saying, “I would like to see that ring, please.”
Forever: “Do you, Horatio Caine, take Calleigh Duquesne to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, as long as you both shall live?”
