Some of them even work together!
Fandom: Final Fantasy VII
Pairing: Reeve Tuesti/Tseng
Theme set: Gamma
Rating: Gimme a PG-13 for caution
#01 - Ring
Reeve had always thought they would get out together, that they’d always be happy, but here he was returning the last symbol of their dying love.
#02 - Hero
When Tseng said he looked up to Reeve the executive didn’t know why, until he realized he had what Tseng had always wanted: a normal life.
#03 - Memory
Though it was as distant as a nightmare now, Reeve had never gotten over the fear he had felt when he’d seen the man he never knew he loved dying through Cait Sith’s eyes.
#04 - Box
There was no shock at all in Tseng when Reeve asked him to move in, but Reeve was sure shocked when he found that everything Tseng owned besides his suit fit into a single box.
#05 - Run
Even now Reeve knew in his heart that Tseng would never stop looking over his shoulder, searching for the thing they had escaped from together.
#06 - Hurricane
Once Reno had found out about them the first thing he did was joke that they didn’t need home insurance for natural disasters, just for their fights.
#07 - Wings
‘I will fly with you’ was the response when Reeve asked what Tseng would do if he just gave up and jumped.
#08 - Cold
At first they weren’t a match made in heaven, just two people looking for someone to warm their beds.
#09 - Red
Tseng watched while the blood poured from his wound and prayed that Reeve would forgive him for dying.
#10 - Drink
When Reno suggested ‘Post-Kill-Drinkies’ the lovers found a way around asking their friends to join them in celebrating their anniversary.
#11 - Midnight
Sometimes, Reeve had come to realize, it was far worse to have Tseng come home at noon than at midnight.
#12 - Temptation
The first time they had met it had been lunch time, and Reeve couldn’t help but envy the Popsicle that the Wutain was eating.
#13 - View
While he lay there, held in the arms of the beautiful Turk, Reeve wondered why they had wasted the extra money on a room with a view.
#14 - Music
How could he not help but laugh when Reeve said he’d always wanted to be a rock star once he’d finally heard Reeve trying to sing in the shower?
#15 - Silk
Elena asked him once if Tseng’s hair felt as soft as it looked, and Reeve just smiled.
#16 - Cover
Though he was not one for revenge, when Tseng laughed at him about his childhood dream Reeve instantly retaliated with the best plan available: he calmly informed Tseng where the extra bed linens were kept and banished him to the couch.
#17 - Promise
As the silence set in neither could remember what they were laughing at or who had sworn not to do just that.
#18 - Dream
He could have sworn that he was asleep when the dark haired man entered his office but a month later, because he KNEW he’d seen Tseng dying at the temple.
#19 - Candle
While Tseng had bought them for a romantic dinner, they ended up just sitting in the dim light all night, waiting out the storm together.
#20 - Talent
Not long after the singing fiasco they learned that while Reeve didn’t have any artistic skills, Tseng sure had a knack for ending up on the couch at night.
#21 - Silence
Knowing he never could do it himself Reeve asked Rude to do the eulogy, and found that never before had so much been said with nothing but the removing of a pair of sunglasses.
#22 - Journey
‘I traveled to the ends of the world,’ Reeve whispered to the man, ‘and all I found was you.’
#23 - Fire
Once upon a time they’d read this poem about the world ending in school, and now that he’d lain his eyes upon Tseng, he knew that for him that the ending wouldn’t come in ice..
#24 - Strength
Not once had they ever held the delusion that Tseng was the one that kept them going.
#25 - Mask
More than anything Tseng delighted in the fact that he could still get past that serious front Reeve protected himself with.
#26 - Ice
Together they watched Midgar fall under Meteor’s assault, awaiting their ending, when the executive decided that the world wouldn’t end in fire.
#27 - Fall
It really never struck Reeve just how Wutain Tseng really was until he saw him in that kimono… and hadn’t enjoyed it until it was discarded onto the floor.
#28 - Forgotten
For five years Reeve had been without his lover, separated by their alliances, but every time Reeve looked at a cup of coffee, he knew he’d never forget.
#29 - Dance
While the look on Reeve’s face was one of near horror at the prospect, Tseng didn’t repeal his offer or withdraw the outstretched hand.
#30 - Body
Reeve knew that were someone to ever ask him to mold a hunk of clay to the form he found most pleasing, he would not have any trouble bringing Tseng from the clay.
#31 - Sacred
They had their separate gods - Tseng had his Leviathan and Reeve the Lifestream - but it wasn’t before either that their vows of love were witnessed.
#32 - Farewells
Looking back Reeve knew that all of those promises that they would be in love forever were just promises to make the ending bitter and painful.
#33 - World
When Tseng left to return to the Turks and Rufus, Reeve found that all he had left to keep him going was Cait and the WRO.
#34 - Formal
Sometimes it seemed like the only clothes either of them owned were suits.
#35 - Fever
It had never occurred to Reeve that even with all of those Mako enhancements the Turks supposedly had that Tseng could actually get sick.
#36 - Laugh
He refused to cry when he looked upon the tombstone, so he just told the others present about the time where he and Reno had pulled a prank on Tseng, and listened to the laughter.
#37 - Lies
While Reeve knew there could never be full truths between them, it was the lie about Sector Seven’s collapse that hurt the most.
#38 - Forever
A word they never said, knowing it to be the most hurtful lie of all.
#39 - Overwhelmed
“What am I supposed to do with these?” Tseng asked, holding out the mixing bowl and whisk, and making Reeve burst out with laughter.
#40 - Whisper
After the Temple, he’d promised never to believe another promise he heard whispered in the dark, but Tseng always made him feel so sure.
#41 - Wait
Tseng watched Reeve pause, almost flinch at his pleading tone, and knew it wouldn’t do anything just before Reeve continued out of the office anyway.
#42 - Talk
Something they never did, because the words just weren’t needed.
#43 - Search
Funniest thing was that they’d gotten together through a personal ad in a Midgar newspaper, both finding something in the others ad that just called out to them.
#44 - Hope
Through the link with Cait Sith that Reeve could hear Tseng assure Cloud that he was still alive.
#45 - Eclipse
In school they taught you to never look right into an eclipse, but Reeve knew that if Tseng asked him, he’d do just that.
#46 - Gravity
With Tseng there, kneeling before him and holding a small jewelry box, Reeve almost felt as if all of the terrible things weighing on his mind had suddenly floated away.
#47 - Highway
They both knew the roads all dead-ended at Midgar now, but that was no excuse not to go out on Tseng’s bike for a few hours.
#48 - Unknown
This was the only situation they had not prepared for, because who could have expected orders for the assassination of Reeve landing on Tseng’s desk?
#49 - Lock
Even with the return of the ring, and Reeve not listening when he said wait, it didn’t sink in for Tseng until he tried his key, and found that it no longer worked on Reeve’s house door.
#50 - Breathe
It always began with a kiss, and ended with two men who couldn’t remember a thing but each other and how to breathe.
