[Law and Order: Special Victims Unit/Greek Mythology]
Based on RP involving members of theatrical_muse
Theme Set: Delta

1. Air -- The air was thick between them with tension, and not the kind either of them liked or were used to; Helen was carrying Paris' child and things hadn’t been quite right between them since the news.

2. Apples - Munch glanced at Helen and then at the bowl of apples on the table, "Should I duck or just go ahead and throw them outside?" he teased.

3. Beginning - The beginning of their relationship had been very unique as both were from entirely different places as well as times, which Munch still at times, had a hard time wrapping his mind around.

4. Bugs - Munch had never much cared for Hermes or his view that the Greek gods were to humanity what humanity was to the insects.

5. Coffee - Munch sat at his desk in the precinct and took another long sip of the old coffee, trying to keep himself awake.

6. Dark - Helen’s eyes grew dark, in love or not, she was still the queen of Troy and expected to have her way when demanded.

7. Despair - Munch had never felt such despair before; he’d worried about losing Helen with all they were going through with Hermes; though beating Hermes up had relieved some of the problems, but he couldn’t do that to Paris.

8. Doors - Helen slammed the doors shut, locking Munch out of the room; He could be so infuriating at times - usually when he was right; but then John Munch always believed he was right.

9. Drink - Over a long drink he glared at Fin, who was in the middle of spouting the ‘I told you so’ speech.

10. Duty - His sense of duty tied him to the job he did, whether he liked it or not; so it was still surprising to him that Helen simply accepted it, without argument.

11. Earth - No one else on earth infuriated or captivated Munch as much as Helen did and he knew that went the other way as well.

12. End - At the end of his week as an immortal, Munch found it actually wasn’t terribly different from being a human, except you didn’t really need to worry about getting hurt.

13. Fall - "If you fall again…" Munch started to say to Helen, shaking his head. "You worry me sometimes."

14. Fire - The fire in the hearth burned brightly as Helen relaxed next to it with her husband; having forgotten just how good the feel of his arms around her was.

15. Flexible - After a lot of consideration, Munch had decided to go to part-time work at the precinct, which meant a heck of a lot more paperwork and desk riding, but also a more flexible schedule and more time to spend with Helen.

16. Flying - Munch was hit so hard that he was sent flying backward, landing hard on his shoulder; instantly, he knew he'd broken something.

17. Food - The food that Helen had prepared was absolutely delicious and she looked quite proud of that fact.

18. Foot - 'Stuck my foot in my mouth again.' Munch mentally berated himself, taking a deep breath to help him gather his thoughts.

19. Grave - Helen had known that this time would come… that John couldn’t live forever but still… it had all been so sudden - he’d been shot, they had gone to the hospital and now here she stood, by his grave.

20. Green - Munch spread the picnic blanket over an area of green grass so they could sit down on it and then he reached out to pull Helen close for a kiss.

21. Head - When it came to matters of the heart, Munch had started trusting to his head rather than his emotions given his bad experiences, at least until he met Helen.

22. Hollow - Despite all the joy she should be feeling, a part of her ached, a part of her felt hollow, for the fact that she’d hurt John so badly that he’d had to leave.

23. Honor - Helen knew John loved her but feared that part of the reason he continued to stay with her was because of his honor, because of his views of right and wrong and she didn’t want that to be the reason.

24. Hope - The fact that he’d found love in Helen had given him hope for his future, however long he was around.

25. Light - The light of the moon reflected off the ocean, making Helen feel calmer, despite the nausea that had gripped her stomach earlier.

26. Lost - "I still feel lost sometimes," Munch admitted to her softly. "Especially when I’m without you."

27. Metal - The sound of metal on metal startled Munch until he realized it was merely Achilles showing his boys how to use swords.

28. New - The new day came slowly, as Helen found herself unable to sleep, out of worry and if she admitted it, some guilt; not over what was done but because of who was hurt by the actions.

29. Old - Troy was an old city, and yet had changed little since it was rebuilt after the Trojan War.

30. Peace - The peace of the evening was long forgotten within the excitement of the birth of the heir to Troy; Munch found himself basically ignored with the crowd of people running through to pay their respects so he sat quietly by.

31. Poison - Their fighting was like poison to his soul; he felt alone, isolated and much more cynical without Helen’s presence in his life.

32. Pretty - "It’s pretty," Munch responded noncommittally though she could tell he was teasing her. "Pretty?" she replied, indignant. "Just pretty?"

33. Rain -- The rain and thunder started to come and so they both moved inside from the balcony, not quite fast enough to avoid getting wet.

34. Regret - "John, I will say this," Helen started softly. "I don’t regret having this child, what I do regret is that I hurt you. For that I am sorry."

35. Roses - Helen looked puzzled as John handed her roses. "It’s our anniversary," he explained. Amazing how in his previous marriages he’d never managed to remember but now it was important.

36. Secret - "How many secrets do you still have Helen?" Munch asked. "How much are you going to keep from me?"

37. Snakes - Munch sighed and relaxed as Helen’s arms surrounded him. "Another day of dealing with snakes, slime and scum," he murmured.

38. Snow - "I bet you don’t see much snow in Troy," Munch said, "We get far too much of it here. Helen looked at him mischievously, "Well it means we can’t go out; guess we’ll just have to entertain ourselves here."

39. Solid - Munch had thought he’d built a solid case to Helen, which was why he’d decided to move out, but he was finding he had not calculated his heart in the equation.

40. Spring - At hearing that something had happened to John, Helen sprang into action, intent on finding out what had happened and how to fix it; and determined to wring the neck of anyone who got in her way.

41. Stable - One of the many places Munch had not traveled to was Troy's stables; he laughed suddenly reminded of the time when Anne had transported them both to Texas to go riding.

42. Strange - Their love was about as strange as you could get; both were stubborn to a fault and could be quite a match for the other; but in the most important ways they were one at heart.

43. Summer - In Troy, unlike New York, the heat of the summer season was tempered by the cool breezes of the ocean.

44. Taboo - One of the things that Helen considered taboo was that anyone should question her love for John or her place in the city.

45. Ugly - "If you continue along this line of questioning Fin," Helen said in a warning tone. "It’s going to get really ugly. Let it go."

46. War - The beach at Troy stood still with only waves of water lapping at the sand for movement; it was hard to imagine the war that had been fought on these lands.

47. Water - The water felt warm and soothing, a welcome break for Helen after the strenuous pregnancy and the tension between her and John; she was so caught up in relaxing that she almost didn’t notice John sit next to her.

48. Welcome - Nothing had ever been more welcome to Helen than John’s touch, which she had missed these past months; but had not realized how much until this moment.

49. Winter - Even winter in Troy was milder than most places and Munch found himself missing the snow a bit; at least until he and Helen stayed in New York for a night.

50. Wood - The wood in the fireplace crackled suddenly, startling both of them, then they both promptly fell in laughter.
