Bleach - Kuchiki Byakuya and Shihouin Yoruichi

Mar 04, 2006 23:18

Fandom: Bleach
Pairing: Kuchiki Byakuya and Shihouin Yoruichi
Theme set: Alpha
Rating: M
Notes: This is my first time doing one of these so any and all honest critiques are welcome. I don't own Bleach or the people therein. If I did, you'd all hate it since my drawing sucks.

1. Comfort
For as long as they could remember, the other had always been near despite physical, spatial, or ideological differences, they were never far apart in the ways that mattered the most; this is how it always has been and as it should be and neither of them would have it any other way.

2. Kiss
It was during her first meeting with Byakuya that Yoruichi began to question the absolute truth in the words of adults; she didn’t care if it was a custom to kiss babies the first time you meet, there was no way she was putting her lips on something that looked, smelled, or sounded like that.

3. Soft
Shihouin Yoruichi had always been softer than the other little boys that he played with; they had bathed together often, but it wasn’t until he reached puberty, that he realized this softness was not only an indicator of lacking certain parts, but also an indicator possessing parts that were more interesting and sweeter than he had ever thought possible.

4. Pain
He wasn’t sure what hurt his young ego the worse, the fact that he lost another sparring match, or the fact that the victor was supposedly a girl.

5. Potatoes
Unlike the head of the Kuchiki clan, Yoruichi’s father was a kind man who believed a child’s hand-eye coordination and speed could best be perfected by a game of hot potato.

6. Rain
Only Byakuya understood why there were muddy paw prints on his window and roof the day Urahara Kisuke was exiled from Soul Society; the maids still wonder why he refused to let them remove them was sad when the rain washed them away.

7. Chocolate
Some nights, when the moon is barely visible and grey clouds permeate the sky, she can still feel his ragged breath on her cheek as he moans “Chocolate Goddess” before exploding deeply inside her; it is on these same nights that Byakuya feels the most solitary and conflicted as he longs for both his Chocolate Goddess and his Scarlet Queen.

8. Happiness
Without her wild rebel spirit as a source of corruption, he doubts if he ever would have experienced happiness in his life.

9. Telephone
Byakuya hates telephones, well not so much telephones per se, but the fact that she is never on the other end.

10. Ears
“Skinny lobes! Why do the two of you have such skinny red lobes?” their mothers exclaimed after leaving them with a babysitter known to pinch the ears of those who misbehaved.

11. Name
Even though she had never met her and heard she’d been gone for several decades, Hisana always listened closely for Shihouin Yoruichi’s name as it was the one name other than her own that escaped her husband’s lips on the rare instances he whispered in his sleep.

12. Sensual
He wasn’t sure which he preferred next to him, the silkiness of Yoruichi’s skin or the softness of her fur.

13. Death
In a strange way, they each longed for death and the freedom it would bring, perhaps this time, they could find a way to be happy together without the encumbrances of Soul Society.

14. Sex
It wasn’t love, lust or even curiosity that inspired their initial venture into the world of sexual activity; after hearing Kuukaku confession that she had lost her virginity, Yoruichi’s competitive nature demanded that she do the same; Byakuya was only somewhat ashamed at his body’s eagerness to cooperate.

15. Touch
They still remember the first time they touched each other’s most intimate parts and the spanking they received afterward; apparently there were some things you shouldn’t play with no matter how strange they appeared.

16. Weakness
Over the years, they’d left enough blood, snot, and tears on each other to know that one’s greatest weakness was mirrored strongly in the other but they still refused to admit that nothing good ever came from trying to be too strong.

17. Tears
They watch in impotent horror as their friend’s first attempt at making fireworks goes terribly wrong as the strength of the explosion tears her arm from her body; it is that feeling of powerlessness that dries their tears and forces them to work harder and push themselves to the limits of their abilities to avoid that feeling at all cost.

18. Speed
It was a question neither set of parents could answer, “What was faster a bat out of Hell or their children when they smelled food?”

19. Wind
As such a sweetly innocent child, Byakuya was very easy to manipulate and Yoruichi knew just what it took to wind him up to do her bidding.

20. Freedom
As they soared over the skies of Seireitei on they imagined they were birds, able to do what they wished, go where wanted, and answer to no one; their fantasy was abruptly destroyed once Lady Shihouin discovered the missing family heirloom and their unauthorized use of it.

21. Life
As she sat in the bathroom of the Urahara Shoten looking at the small plus sign that had appeared on the wand in her hand, she wondered if she should inform Byakuya about the tiny person growing within her.

22. Jealousy
Knowing his wife’s fear, Byakuya would sometimes start rumors about a black cat seen roaming in Rukongai along the borders of Seireitei; a jealous Hisana was a horny Hisana, a horny Hisana with a mission and something to prove as she repeatedly carried him beyond the pinnacles of both ecstasy and bliss into a realm of pleasure that had yet to be named reinforcing his belief that a horny jealous Hisana was definitely one of his favorite Hisanas.

23. Hands
It amazed him how hands that could so brutally kill an enemy could so gently hold a sleeping child.

24. Taste
No matter how much she begged, that damn Kuchiki brat would not let her have one little bit of the brown nutty paste his father had brought from the living world.

25. Devotion
Theirs was a complex relationship that neither of them understood; the sex was great, but unnecessary; sometimes they were in love like a pair of newlyweds; other times they were loving like a close set of twins; at others they were completely overwhelmed by a sense of contempt and loathing that bordered on hatred; regardless of the mood, they knew their souls would be forever intertwined.

26. Forever
Although they always fought their hardest in every battle it was only out of a sense of competitiveness or duty; neither or them minded dying as shinigami; forever was for people who were much braver or far more foolish.

27. Blood
They were close, too close, much closer than anyone had ever imagined; it was Byakuya, not Kuukaku, not her mother, not Unohana-taicho, but Byakuya who assisted Yoruichi in her seemingly endless struggle to figure out tampons.

28. Sickness
Illness is rare in the land of souls, injuries are common, but a true illness is a rare thing indeed; it saddened Yoruichi that her friend’s wife was one of the unlucky few.

29. Melody
“I’m going to scald her. I’m going to definitely scald her then drown her” Byakuya thought placing the pot of water on the stove as his ears were bombarded by the 11th division fukutaichou’s voice on her 7th consecutive day of “The song that doesn’t end” that the pretty kitty lady had taught her.

30. Star
There were no stars in the sky as Soi Fong and Kuchiki Byakuya desperately reached for each other; the night was ominously dark as was their shrouded hearts which had been broken into millions of obsidian shards when then sun known as Shihouin Yoruichi had chosen to shine elsewhere.

31. Home
Yoruichi barely managed to dodge as the one armed girl sent her first time visitor sailing across the prairie all the time yelling, “Plain houses got no soul, it has be alive to make it truly a home and your dumb ass just insulted mine.”

32. Confusion
It never failed; Kisuke’s simple question of which came first the chicken or the egg caused enough pandemonium that he and Kuukaku could sneak off without their two friends following.

33. Fear
It was Yoruichi’s sporadic returns that assured Byakuya that just because he loves someone doesn’t mean they have to die.

34. Lightning/Thunder
When they were children wherever Yoruichi went, Byakuya was always a few steps behind her, just like lighting and thunder only with more destructive potential.

35. Bonds
Seeing her on the bridge to the Shrine of Penitence gave evidence to the strength of their bond; she knew in his heart, he wanted to save his sister, but outwardly he’d been unable to do so; the true reason for his anger was not the fact she’d tried, but for someone who’d been captain of covert operations, her actions were neither swift, silent, nor secret.

36. Market
After Aizen and his minions were destroyed Byakuya was in the market for a nice quiet life and then it the announcement was made-Urahara Kisuke was no longer exiled from Soul Society and would return as a member of the reformed Central 46; the 11th division was no longer the loudest place in Seireitei once his new neighbor settled in next door.

37. Technology
As much as she tried, Byakuya’s Kenseikan would never pick up the home shopping network.

38. Gift
Urahara never understood their need to trade the same 500 year old fruit cake and worn out pair of socks back and forth year after year.

39. Smile
Very few in Soul Society knew it, but at one time Kuchiki Byakuya’s smile was both brighter and more cheerful than the sun itself.

40. Innocence
Their baths together have been and will always remain a way for them to remember the children they once were; it never occurred to them to do anything other than dunk each other’s heads below the surface and squirt water into the other’s unsuspecting face.

41. Completion
There was no longer any bite to his words as he scolded the small children happily painting on his latest calligraphy scroll; none whatsoever as he opened a new set of brushes and once more began a project that would only reach completion after another set of brushes had been ruined, more ink spilled on the formerly white floor, his wife’s shrill voice once again fussing about the difficulties of removing ink stains from delicate skin, and the knowledge that in a few days the scrolls and inkpot would once more be accidentally left where small inquisitive hands could partake in his favorite hobby.

42. Clouds
She’ll never admit it, but nothing clouds her judgment like the thought of unicorn shaped birthmark on Byakuya’s right butt cheek.

43. Sky
Lady Shiba recoiled at the sight of the Kuchiki and Shihouin heirs flying through the sky from the direction of her house as her one-armed daughter cheered the success of her Kuukaku cannon from below.

44. Heaven
Most shinigami believed in hell, but heaven was a place of myth and legends that only foolish humans believed in, Byakuya and Yoruichi were no different until their oldest child’s eyes opened to them for the first time; each subsequent child showed them a different view of the place where souls could live in ultimate bliss but it was the eyes of their grandchildren that helped them to understand the true meaning of eternal life as the heaven they saw within was similar, but held much more clarity than the eyes of generation before

45. Hell
When Byakuya’s father began training them, Yoruichi got a glimpse of Byakuya’s private hell as the man not once acknowledged how hard his son tried or how much progress he had made, but instead focused on the child’s inability defeat those who were older and more experienced all the while threatening to destroy him in favor of creating a stronger and more worthy heir.

46. Sun
A day at the beach removed all doubts that Yoruichi was abnormal; only a devil could survive that much exposure and not burn Byakuya thought as he looked at his painfully red body.

47. Moon
The King laughed heartily at the two naked backsides that were being chased away from his sprinklers, “Only those two would dare moon the King” he chuckled before adding, “this time, don’t tell their parents.”

48. Waves
Their bodies trembled as pleasure rode in wave upon wave like a vast ocean the first time they made love after a century apart.

49. Hair
They could only watch in awe at the speed in which the kicks and blows were delivered, one by one they dodged the objects that came sailing their way as the combatants yet again destroyed any and everything that was in their path; as much as they hated to help clean up afterwards, Shihouin-Kuchiki kids loved it when their parents fought over who had the best hair.

50. Supernova
9,000 years, 7 children, 4 grandchildren, a strengthened House of Kuchiki, a restored House of Shihouin, a strange haired brother in law, and a lifetime of love later they decided to take another ride in the Kuukaku cannon; this time instead of concentrating on balancing and maintaining their spirit pressure they wrapped each other in a knowing embrace and began a slow and tender kiss ending only as they exploded over the skies of Seireitei.
