Drugs are bad, mkay?

So, I was reading on CBC that the government is worried because since 2004 criminal groups have been expanding MDMA [ecstasy] distribution and have significantly elevated MDMA availability.

Let's learn more about ecstasy (thank you Wikipedia, our real life equivalent of a DnD magical book that has answers about everything, just one spell away (pun intended)):

The primary effects of MDMA include feelings of openness, euphoria, empathy, love, heightened self-awareness and an increased enjoyment of music and movement. Tactile sensations are enhanced for some users, making physical contact with others more pleasurable.

...

To illustrate just how horrible consumption of MDMA would be on society, here are examples of what could happen:

Subject test A:

At the store, there was an old lady in front of me in line. She took foreveeeeeeeeeeeeeer taking her purse out and counting her change, it gave me time to appreciate the end of the song playing on my discman. I helped her with her bags.

Subject test B:

While crossing the street downtown, this driver was in such a hurry he didn't seem to want to wait for me to cross the street. I waived at him nicely and gestured for him to move forward as he must have had some pressing business to attend to, poor guy. I was in no hurry to be anywhere anyway, so I felt really happy to give him that extra three seconds to get to where he was going.

Subject test C:

My girlfriend and I stayed in last night and told each other how much we loved each other. For about 5 hours.

...

Yeah that'd be HORRIBLE.

Edited to say: this post is merely trying to poke fun at the government (because it's easier than voting twice) as I think money spent fighting drugs would be better invested on education. I am not saying that you should take drugs, that drugs are good for you or that they are safe, make your own case of that. Again, education is often the solution I find ;)
