It is pretty disgusting that the latest bright idea from the US forces in Iraq is to build walls that divide the city into ghettos based on religious affiliations. People will have to show ID cards and take permission to move out of their ghettos. In other words : apartheid.
The Iraqi Prime minister has opposed it. The Iraqi parliament has voted against it. And this despite the fact that they are the majority community and they are not the ones being walled in.
At least the Iraqis still care about their country and are not ready to bring in apartheid. But what can they do? They dont rule their own country. Apartheid returns.
