Nathan was starting to get used to Fandom. Plus in some ways it was hard for him to realize Peter had grown up at all. So when a weetiny version of his brother came knocking at Nathan's door the spinning of Nathan's mental wheels wasn't about Peter being a little kid as much as it was Peter being a kid right now"Nathan, Nathan, Nathan!" Dean had been heading back to the dorms from the house to pick up some stuff when he just happened by just as there was flying and landing.

"Dude!" Dean exclaimed. "That was awesome!"

Any chance of Nathan not knowing who this was was tossed away when Peter squealed out, "Dean! I told you Nathan was the bestest!"

"Do you give rides?" Dean asked Nathan.

"Only to Peter," Nathan replied. He was, by the way, not letting go of Peter anytime soon. Clearly that only led to headaches. Such as the one he was currently developing.

Isabel and Wyatt had gone for ice cream and were slowly walking back home when they noticed the Flying Petrellis. "Wow!" Isabel said. "You were flying!"

The sight of more kids started to make Nathan able to guess what was going on. That did not negate his ability to stick to a party line. "Peter fell," he said, as though gently correcting her.

"And you flew and caught him," Isabel said matter-of-factly. "Are you Superman?"

"He's Nathan!" Peter replied, clearly of the opinion that being Nathan was way better than being Superman.

"Chrisse, are you all right?" Jean-Paul called from midair several stories up.

...he totally would have caught the kid before he hit the ground. He'd just been waiting to see if he could actually fly. Sometimes they could.

"He's fine," Nathan said, tilting his head so he could look up. "Lucky I was down here to catch him."

Jean-Paul almost rolled his eyes, then decided that would be counterproductive. The man wasn't yelling at him and he'd kind of like to keep it that way. So he floated down to hover with his toes just above the pavement and said, "Oui. Very lucky. Only those who can fly should go jumping off balconies."

"Hear that?" Nathan told Peter. "Only folks who should fly should jump off balconies. Or rooftops. Or anything else that's tall."

To Jean-Paul he added, with a world-weary shrug, "Kids, huh?"

Mohinder's abrupt acceleration from a little way along the street didn't slow at sight of the safe landing, though the identity of the flyer shouldn't have been a surprise. "Are you hurt? Either of you?"

Well at least this one already knew about the flight. "Nah. Other than being freaked."

If Nathan shifted Peter over to his other shoulder - the one further away from Mohinder - well maybe that was a coincidence and not a deliberate attempt to try to hide Peter.

Not that the attempt worked since Peter leaned over Nathan's shoulder and peered at Mohinder with big eyes from behind Nathan's head.

"I thought he could..." Mohinder trailed off, and jerked his head upward in a way that meant 'could fly when he's with you' because he didn't want to give any ideas to chldren who'd just pitched out of balconies.

"Hi," he said to Peter, putting his hand up in greeting at the younger Petrelli.

"Hiiiiiii," Peter said, giving Mohinder a wave. "I'm Peter!"
