Real Polish Pottery vs. Imitation. Do not be fooled!

As a proud Pole, I adore Boleslawiec polish pottery. I think it is beautiful the way each piece is individually hand stamped and painted. The designs are bright and have so much culture behind them. Polish pottery has been around for a long time and plays a large role in the economic health of Poland. Unfortunately many may try to imitate the handcrafted and original beauty that polish pottery brings to the table. Polish pottery is not 'Made in China'. People today do not know what they purchasing and if they see something they like they want it. All too often buyers forget looks can be deceiving. The first and original polish pottery company is Ceramika Artystyczna, also referred to as 'Artistic Ceramics'. This company has no connection with 'Christmas Tree Shop", which has sold Chinese imitations. Artistic Ceramics does however connections with Costco, and they sell their products based on a schedule throughout the United States. A way to ensure the authenticity of polish pottery is to look on the bottom of the piece. It will say Ceramika Artystyczna or hand made in Poland. You can also tell the difference with the true beauty of Polish Pottery compared to imitation. The most unique pieces are called 'Unikat', and may say this on the bottom. Below is the website where you can order original handcrafted and authentic Boleslawiec Polish Pottery. I adore my personal set and I use my pieces every day. They are sturdy, dishwasher safe, and absolutely gorgeous.
