Surprise Al
I had a pretty dern fun weekend.
On Friday night, my only plan was to go see the monthly improv show at the Pizza Ranch. Just before the show, I was talking on the phone to my friend Al Walker, who lives about an hour and a half away. After the show, I was walking out, and Al is there! He had apparently snuck in to the back of the room, and I didn't even know he was there!
So we hung out for a while. We went to the bowling alley and played a few games (I played one game of 114, I'm usually not that good). Afterwards, we went back to my house and had an Arrested Development marathon. Since we were up all night, Al walked through my paper route with me in the morning, and then we went to sleep.
We both got about 3 1/2 hours of sleep before breakfast. My mom made cinnamon rolls, and then we watched some more Arrested Development. We only made it part way through the second season.
My sister had some of her friends over for the weekend, too. They all went to the junior high dance on Friday night, of which the theme was "dress up as your favorite movie star". My sister and crew dressed up as the cast of Sweeney Todd. They all seemed to have a fun time with Al around, too. They walked to the Shell gas station with him, and there was a short Britney Spears party, which I didn't take part in.
Anyway, Al left last night, and I slept most of the day away, only getting up for my paper route. My weekend turned out to be more fun than planned.
