so i have no idea whats going on for college... and it blows. i feel very lucky that im not in the place of worry if ill get in somewhere and what will happen if i dont, but not that im in everywhere its like shit i have no idea where i want to go. everyplace has its plusses and minusses (i love those words) and its really kinda scary not having a real idea of where i wanna end up.

so to calm my raging mind im gonna take from time off here from not doing homework and list some schools and the goods and bads about them. this is more for me to get it straight in my head, but some of the things arent so college and are more me in the future related so feel free to leave you opinion on stuff id really appriciate any consideration people have. here goes...

Villanova-
+ right next to philly
+ beautiful campus (so ive heard)
+ kids are fun and down to earth (from talking to sebs kids there)
+ i know people who are there and would have a little in
+ good sports teams would keep me entertained
+ somewhat small school thats around the siza id like
- doesnt have my major (big one)
- didnt send in the financial aid packet so i get no money (another big one)

University of Maryland
+ i got into a program where i live in a house with 40 other kids and do cool stuff dealing with media, self and society issues
+ right next to DC which i love
+ pretty good journalism school for being a state school
+ good bball
+ nice big campus
+ got a presidentail scholarship and its pretty cheap ($15,000)
- school is friggin HUGE
- lots of southern kids (40,000ish)
- big classes
- the place is just large

Syracuse
+ GREAT communications school- one of the best in the US (big +)
+ basically a free ride w/ $32,000 Army ROTC + $8,000 academic grant
+ big time basketball and lax- great sports center
+ knowing people helps- maybe some classmates will go with me
+ cool stuff like radio and papers i can get into
+ kiinnda close to risa if she feels like driving up
- middle of nowhere NY
- not alot to do off campus
- lots of snow (used to it but still)

Stonehill
+ i got a full ride thanks to camp (huge)
+ real good friends with alot of people there (i heart max)
+ ive been there alot and have lots of connections already
- its in easton, ma- nothing going on and close to home
- not alot to do beside drink
- not a super strong communications school
-/+ i have to go to camp all 4 years im at school so that means no summers but im in great shape all the time

Boston University
+ good communications
+ in my hometown that i know and love
+ stones throw from fenway
+ alot of people are staying around boston
- expensive and no ROTC
- realll close to home
- alot of undergrads
- ive seen and done almost all there is to do in boston

Fordham University
+ right around NYC which is really cool
+ around alot of kids from other colleges (columbia, nyu, etc.)
+ they have my major (dont know if they're any good for it)
+ couple kids from sebs might end up there
+ real close to risa
- place is a fortress and right around it isnt to purty
- no ROTC
- students there dont really bond together- they go do their own thing in the city (so im told)

unfortunately i havent visited alot of these, so when i do these will probly change but for now thats what i could come up with off the top of my head. another thing i ahve to really think about is whether i wanna really do ROCT. its great for not having to rely on my parents for money, but i do have to serve and thats no garuntee ill be serving in a safe place. and then on top of that theres the academies (navy and AF) that i may still get into, and if military's the way to go im gonna have to really think about them too.

all and all ive got alot on my plate, and while i know its a great blessing to have all of these options, it really sucks at the same time. theres so much to consider in only a month, and this decision effects the rest of my life. gah its daunting. im confident that ill be happy and do well wherever i go and whatever i do, but i reallly dont wanna be a what iffer. anywho im done. thoughts, suggestions, advise, experiences, would all be much appriciated, and thanks to you if you made it reading this far
