Not much better, but onward anyhow
My thanks to the commenters on my last post, your love and encouragement is greatly appreciated. Please do not think that I had forgotten even one of you, if anything it is my missing you, in part, which makes the current situation so hard.
My position with Richland County is slated to end with the September pay period. There are a few opportunities that I am looking into, and I spent the morning polishing up my resume.
A few different parties had intended visits this summer, none of which were able to occur, save one. Getting to see Katie, Kresha, Annika and Evan, if even only for a couple hours, was a wonderful treat. A bit like eating the very best chocolate: Afterward, nothing else tastes quite as good, at least until the memory of that flavor has faded somewhat.
I don't want to be blue. I don't want to feel overwhelmed and incapable of getting through what needs to be done. Largely, I feel, the solution is simply to change my attitude, regardless of how I feel. Easier said than done, but not impossible to do. I've done it before, so I can do it again.
