I saw this talked-about music video by M.I.A. for the first time tonight. The one where the evil swat-team is rounding up redheads, harrassing them and killing them? 'Born Free'.
Fifteen minutes later, I follow a rec link to an author's page, and two or three of her story blurbs mention redheads. I then start reading another of her fics, and there are like, five different redheads! They just keep coming!
At first I thought the coincidence was a little freaky, but after a while I was just, come on! Redheads aren't that common! All the blondes and brunettes and blackhaired people didn't merit a mention, either.
But M.I.A.'s song 'Paper Planes' is totally stuck in my head.
