(nods) Pretty much, yeah. Can't always depend on the Digisoul, nor can I always depend on Guilmon to get me outta jams. So, if I'm gonna protect myself or the people that I care about...I should have some hardware.

Even if a stick was useful against an Adult Digimon Ruki fought against, I don't think it'll help against Ultimate Digimon!
