Get a picture and crop it to icon size. I'm using one of MATTTTTTT cause i like Mattt.

Sharpen it [ adjust - sharpeness - sharpen ]

Duplicate your base layer and set the blend property to screen at somewhere around 50%

Duplicate your base layer again, greyscale it, and put it on soft light at 100% opacity.

Make a new layer and fill it with that colour and set it to multiply

Make another new layer and fill it with that colour and set it to exclusion

Use that gradient and set it to lighten

Now take your base layer duplicate it and put it on top of all the other layers. And set it to soft light

Take that texture made by colorfilter that I edited. And set it to screen. I moved it over on the icon a bit.

Duplicate the texture from step 9 and rotate it, I rotated it so it was on the top and moved it almost off the icon. And have that one on screen too

Add some text or something. I added text in white in some random font at size 1 px, spaced l i k e t h i s. And i set the text layer to overlay. Add whatever else you want.

Merge visible. And if you want to you can sharpen your icon one more time. And you're done, YAAAAYYY
