I woke up crying this morning. Apparently my subconcious was on to something.

So I get a text this morning saying my sister and her boyfriend were headed to the hospital. Mind you everyone in my family is CONSTANTLY in the hospital so I didn't worry too much about it figuring that if it were urgent there would be more details in the text. TURNS OUT:

Joe (not mine, my sisters) did something at work that messed up his finger. I'm fuzzy on the details but I think he cut it. It got infected. He went to Oswego Hospital. They put him on antibiotics and sent him on his way. TWO WEEKS LATER they call him to let him know that it was a staph infection and needed different antibiotics BUT THEY DIDNT CALL IN A NEW SCRIPT FOR HIM. This last night my sister came home from work and went to change his banadage because it had been bleeding right through eveything they put on it. His finger LITERALLY exploded and the side of his pointer finger fell off. My sister tries to stay calm and tell him they need to get to the ER asap. 45 minutes later and no one else has shown up in the ER and they have yet to get him past triage. My sister then decides to take him to upstate. The Dr there is kinda buggin' out because he's not sure if he should be calling a bone specialist or someone else. Finally around 3pm they put him in surgery. They found out he has MRSA which basically a flesh eating virus kind of thing. It could have been taken of care weeks ago had OSWEGO just changed the antibiotics. The Dr told my sister "the bacteria inside had a hayday" and that no one should get their hopes up. There's a 90% chance that they will have to take his finger within the next couple days.
He just turned 20.

Of course I drive around for an hour after work looking for a parking space next to the hospital. I finally found one...parallel parked more perfectly than I ever have in my life. I got out of the car and went to throw some quarters in the meter.

The meter blinked "FAIL"
