It Finally Happened!!!
I SAW THE YEAH YEAH YEAHS!
I can't even explain how excited and anxious I was to go. I've been to quite a few shows but nothing fucking compares to seeing your favorite band live. The opener was this girl from PA Amanda Blank. She was a lot of fun and I recommend checking her out. Once the YYYs came on I was buggin'. The set list was perfect...not too many of the new new songs and just enough of the old ones so I could jump/scream/sing-a-long. They didn't wind up coming out to sign anything which was okay. The old band T that I had brought was drenched with Joe's and my sweat from standing and moving with the huge crowd anyway. (The most people I've ever seen at Northern Lights) The energy was just out of control and aside from a couple little c***s (one that some other girl and I ended up elbowing/kicking afterwards) everyone there was just soo pumped to be there.By the time we made it to the car afterwards half my clothes had to come off...it was just too fucking hot. Between the feeling of ecstasy,the dehydration, + the heat from the crowd I was so overloaded I actually threw up. It was a high unlike any I've ever ecpierenced and even Joe was blown away by their performance. It's one thing to follow a band, see the music videos, watch their interviews, but once you have them 10 ft from you...OMFG. JUST AWE. I really don't have any words left...just a few not so great photos, a wristband, and some confetti in the shape of little Y's. OUTSTANDING.
