Say..I wanted to buy...1,000 d12s/d20s, what would be the cheapest way?

ok...d20s I understand...card gaming, D20, and several other gaming systems...
but I gotta ask, why d12s? Got a lot of people swinging great axes? ROFLMAO! Sorry, I crack myself up.

Let's just say...they're not going to be used for their intended purpose. And it could be all d20s, it doesn't matter that much.
Do you know of any bulk suppliers? I found them for .50cents each, but that works out to $500, which is way more than I want to spend.

Hmm...how "pretty" or high quality do they have to be? I'm really curious what you're working on now...care to share?

They could definitely be 2nd quality or...lower even probably. As long as you can tell they're gaming dice. It's for a photography project. I need A LOT of dice. 1,000 is probably way low of an estimate, now that I think about it. I probably need...like..10 gallons or more worth of buckets (know those Home Depot orange buckets? a few of those probably.)
I saw the Pound O Dice on Chessex, of their 2nd quality dice, but even at the cheapest price I could find, it is still going to be several hundred dollars.

Hmm...ok, my best suggestions are this:
1) Ebay hunting
2) go trolling at conventions for "hand-full o' dice"
3) look for graphics of dice mounds
4) Get a load of dice, I have more than a half-gallon if you need to borrow some, photo them. Scoop them up, pile them out again, and photo, repeat until required or desired variety is reached. paste.

That's about all I can think of.

hmmmm...
I will need...many many handfuls.
I guess..when I have more cash to waste on a SINGLE PHOTO, I can drop $300 on dice. Or maybe...make some sort of box/void to fill in space and then put dice on that so it just looks like it's all dice....hmmm....
