In the beginning of 2005...
Did you have a boyfriend/girlfriend? Yes.
What was your outlook on the world? I was very positive and optimistic, but also stressed.
How were you doing at school/your job? Good. I took over Jennifer's classes at the gym after gymnastics, so that was pretty sweet cuz I got to teach my own classes and do exhibition.
What did you most look forward to? To summer and senior year.
Did you make New Year's Resolutions? No. I always try but then I forget what they are.
What was your biggest worry? ACT's, gymnastics, drivers test
Who was your best friend? All of my gym buds.
What did you do with your spare time? Hung out with Chris, friends, movies, gymnastics
What did you do for fun? Bowling, movies, hanging out.
In the middle of 2005-- the summer!
Did you have a boyfriend/girlfriend? Yes.
Had your outlook on the world changed? No, not really.
What did you spend your summer doing? Working, gymnastics, traveling and driving all over the frickin midwest (I miss flying).
Did you get a tan? hahahah not really compared to everyone else.
Who'd you hang out with, mainly? Chris.
Did you go visit anywhere? Yeah... Iowa, Chicago, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Grand Rapids/GVSU
What was your biggest worry? I don't know if I really had any. Maybe the gymnastics car wash... since people wanted to give up because it was raining 2 hours beforehand... slackers. lol.
What was the most fun event that happened? This is so sad, I can't even remember the summer it was so long ago... haha.
And as the year draws to an end...
And how's your relationship status now? It's fabulous. <3
What major changes have happened since the year began? People have changed and stuff. I dunno. Drama like there has never been before. And I've met some really cool people and made some great relationships.
Is your life any different from when it started this year? Kind of. I'm ready to go on to college now. I definitely wasn't the beginning of last year. I think I'm more responsible and capable of handling things.
What thing that happened stands out in your mind? Getting my driver's license, 2nd place as a team at States, getting accepted to GVSU Honors College, MSU Honors College, and U of M. Getting voted captain for my senior year.
How have you changed? I think I'm less naive than I was, or I hope so. I'm also more outgoing and I don't care as much about what choices people make.
What was the most embarrassing moment? I can't think of too many moments. Probably gymnastics
When was your lowest point? All of the things I've heard about people. And gymnastics regionals. Yeah. Regionals was my lowest point.
Are you happy with how the year went? Kinda.
What thing would you change if you could? I wish there wasn't the drama that happened. But I think I've remained a good friend to all who want to be friends with me. I try to always be myself and be who I am. I'm thankful for my friends and all of the good memories I have with everyone.
For 2006...
What do you plan to not do that you did this year? umm... I can't think of anything bad I did last year.
Do you think it'll be WORSE than this year? No, I think it will be a year of change and growing up for everyone.
What do you plan to do next year? Go off to the beautiful campus of the University of Michigan
What are your pre-New Year's resolutions? To keep up my grades, have more fun and be more spontaneous, be more independent, and just finish out senior year having as much fun as possible.
Who are you spending New Year's Eve with? Chris of course, I dunno. I don't have any plans yet.
And to wrap it up..
What one thing would you like to say as the year is almost done? I can't believe that in the next six months we'll be graduating. I seriously can't believe I won't see like, anyone, after August 06. I just want everyone to know that I've had a great time with everyone and that you are all amazing people. Let's make 2006 a year to remember so we can look back and say, "Those were the good old days."
