The house has been much quieter since Lucan left, and a lot emptier too. The loft is still a mess of hay and blankets that looks more like a barn than a house, and the table and chairs are still in odd places in the large main room, but it's all so much more stark and bare. She comes in quietly, doing her best to make no noise at all--leaves her one bundle, which is just all her sewing things, everything that's left after her burning, all tied up together with cord, by the door--and wanders through the house. When she finally finds him her face cracks in a smile, thin as ever. "Shoulda known."

He looks up and grins. "Where else? Wanna try some?" He fills a cup and offers it to her. "If I'd known you were coming I would have...I don't know, changed my shirt of something."

"Yeah, but at least I could have held it over your head that I'd gone to the trouble of it." He leans on the fence.

He smiles at that. "Well, I've been sleeping in the loft, but we can set the cot in the corner of the main room if you'd prefer."

She lifts an eyebrow and finishes the cup. "Who says we're sleeping together?"

He takes a pause and thinks about that, then says, "I didn't say I had to sleep downstairs with you. However, if you're sleeping up in the loft, you're sleeping with me."

"Give it another week or two, it'll be fine." He crosses his arms. "Oh, so y' think my name's funny then, hm?"
