what a weekend
Friday night: LESS THAN JAKE with Mark and Erica = phenominal. I am so glad I finally got to see them live because I honestly attribute where I am today because of that band. Honestly, back in HS during the west point months, I wanted to kill myself. No joke, everything was awful. What kept me from driving my car off the oceanic bridge was their album Anthem. Songs that just defined how I was feeling and helped me to face things optimistically. Songs of my breakup with longtime girlfriend Audra and how to get over it, songs about escaping the daily grind, following your own drummer type stuff. So when I saw them, it brought me back to those days and my found optimism of "You can do this Johnny Boy." The band is all interactive with the audience. They'd make eye contact with you, give you a high five, sing along with you, make you feel great. Phenominal show. Absolutely.
Saturday: Traffic light party at TH81 = awesome. It was a glee club/theater fairfield party but got the invite from Wendy. Dominated at the pong table with Wendy (The Sniper shot technic perfected) I'm pretty excited for my housemates next year. Andy, Mark, and Aaron. I partied with Andy and Aaron (also noted: hoof, ally, nikki, joe, and kristen) last night and they are such awesome dudes. I kinda knew Rudy last year but got to know him this one and I didnt know andy at all and now he's one of my closest friends here. It's gonna be sweet.
I had a good talk with Hoof last night too. As for sunday...well it was chock full of lunch with jimmy, senate, and homework where I watched movies all day. Not bad being a film major.
