Pirates are beyond the confines of society, they stand astride convention. They can be ruthless or too emotional, but they shun the solidified sociology of the land and live for the minute on the sea. And when they're bored, they take over ships or hide treasure. They drink rum in the daylight and lie awake at night under the stars. They're glamorous and dirty. They scare people with their lack of convention, mores and manners. I think anyone is a pirate who rejects what the world tells him, in small, but a true pirate is one who does it in whole. There's pirate dress, of found objects and clothing that covers and is bright. Pirates are the mavericks, and they respond to the world in new and wonderful ways.

I could keep writing. Life is good. Ho Ho and a Bottle of ORANGE JUICE (to prevent SCURVY!)
