Fullmetal Alchemist - Theme Seven (PG-13)

Aug 18, 2006 21:10

Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Theme Set: Seven
Rating: PG-13
Author Notes: All of these are based off the manga canon, rather than the anime. Oblique spoilers abound, as do manga only characters and continuity.

And so, Esclepius, a great miracle is man, a being worthy of reverence and honour because he enters into the nature of a god as if he himself were a god... )

decomposition swollen corpse

That sounds a little awkward. Might wanna reword it like "decomposed, swollen corpse" or something. Otherwise, very good job.

Thank you! I need that particular construction - that section of awkwardness is intentional - but you're right that it gets a bit confusing. If I ever rework it, which I might, I'm not sure of my plans - there will probably be hyphens involved.

:D

Oh these were lovely, lovely, lovely! I haven't had much time to read fanfic lately and I planned to just skim through this list, if that, but your writing just drew me in and wouldn't let me go. These are so beautifully worded and creative, and you're a pro at leaving things unsaid but very much heard.

A few that stood out to me:
Blaze gave me chills. Serpent made me giggle uncontrollably (I love Al too much). There was something about Prey that hit me interestingly - the mundanity of the situation and perhaps the fact that Dorchette is after a stranglehold rather than a pinch on the ass. Gentle and Pressure were favorites too, and I loved everything with Winry, which is surprising considering I'm not a huge fan of hers.

Anyway, in short, wonderful job - these were a joy to read.

Eeep! Sorry I let this sit - LJ seems to be being a brat about comments again.

Thank you so much! Detailed feedback always makes me glow. :D :D And so does hooking people who weren't planning on letting me!

I love Al. :) He's so absolutely dear.

"Hunger" was a favorite of mine; it loved how you took something that's treated pretty humourously in the anime and make it slightly creepy. I like "Focus" because it's how I see Riza. Most of these I love, and I love the varation, and all the diffrent characters you used.
