Today is an important day. I have just received a letter from the Home Office stating that I can now remain indefinitely in the United Kingdom. I have a shiny new residence permit glued into my passport along with a recent photo of myself taken specifically for the purpose. So this means I can hang around for a little longer, making the cash that will (hopefully) finance my ambitious plans to become a property tycoon in South Africa!
Question for
nisaba: now that I have a residence permit, do I still need a visa to travel to other countries? I know you had a weekend in France recently - did you need a Schengan visa?
