House Party
I'm housesitting for someone I don't really know.
The first night of the week that I'm staying there is utterly uneventful.
time passes and now were nearly a full week later.
I'm wondering around the front lawn at 1am; someone is comming up the sidewalk. The call me on my cell. The voice is female and I think I recognize it as one of the girls I work with, but it turns out to not be her at all. On the phone she sort of interrogates me for a moment, her questions nearly accusing me of being a theif wondering the neighborhood at night. As she aproaches I can see there is someone with her.
Before long I recognize her companion as Jim S, and I don't know her. I invite the two of them in to hang out for a bit. I don't remember exactly what top she was wearing, but her pants where more like a lacy-paterned pair of black stockings through which one could see anything not covered by her little black thong. Somewhere in the back of my mind I knew there was something wrong about Jim showing up with her, but every time my mind reched out to try and grab the idea that he HAS a girlfriend and this isn't her, that thought would just slip away before it formulated.
We chatted for a bit and around 2:30 she warned me a few of her friends may be showing up. The first to arrive was Kathryn. That shocked me, she lives half a continent away! following her were no less than 2 dozen people I didn't know.
Things were getting out of hand- people had gotten into the liquor cabinet some people were in various states of undress, and now my family starts showing up. It's near 8am now.
Kathryn had removed her shirt sometime earlier and I was rubbing her back for her. The first family member to show up is my Dad's older brother... who is shocked an appaled... but he's not the only one comming. Soon my whole family is there, Maternal and Paternal cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents - the whole bit.
It is now that I remember wy I was house sitting to begin with, we were orginzing a contest and this lady had won a week long vaction & (she didn't know it yet, but while she was gone) We were to diliver a ton stuff here. A car, a boat, a grill, a lawnmower, a wheelbarrel - the back yard was filled with stuff she had unwittedly won. All of it was red - no clue why.
Each member of my sizeable family was now grilling something, each on their own grill- chicken, shrimp, kabobs, veggies, steaks, etc. and there was going to be some big banquet later for the winner lady when she got home at 5 this evening. But I wasn't sure I would be able to end the party I haddn't started by then though.
I woke before that was resolved.
