Darkness had nothing. He could see nothing. Nowhere he could go.
He lost his love, dream, and family. He had nothing left to tack on, so he shall be gone from this world.
In the sea of despair, Duke was walking in the darkness. He didn’t know where would neither he go, nor heaven neither hell.
He wanted to drown himself in this darkness forever. Nobody won’t know he had ever lived on this world.
"You're not alone. You don't have to solve the problem by yourself. We can get over it together."
Somehow with these mystery words, he could find the tiny light from the bottom of the endless darkness. His weak little heart told himself, he must not die.

Duke slowly opened his eyes. He blinked a little bit before he found himself lying on the white bed. He was in the hospital.
All of thing Duke could remember was he tried to hang himself, but his body and then everything was blank. He wondered who saved his life.
“You wake up.” Duke turned his head. The tall man, maybe as tall as him stood beside his bed. He has light brown hair and blue-sky eyes that captured Duke at the first time he saw.
“You… Who are you?” Duke felt his throat was sore since he didn’t say any words for a long time.
“I’m David Hoover. I’ll be your neighbor next week.” David gave his hand for shaking hand, but what Duke could do was touching David’s fingertip. He was very exhausted.
“I’ve heard your story from the landlady already.” said David. “I don’t know what I can do, but if you have something, you can tell me.”
Duke nodded, he could say only one word “Thank you.”
“I’m glad to see you regain.” David smiled. Duke felt that smile was warm and very gentle.
David looked at his watch. “I have to go now. Get well soon.”
Duke nodded again and the tall man leaved from the room. The patient sighed and looked at the white ceiling.
“So, that voice could it be…” Duke thought back about the voice he heard in that darkness. It was the same as David’s voice.
Anyway, thank you for saving my life David.
Duke finally smiled.
