here's part one of what should be three! hope this is what you wanted, op!
Maybe it was a bit odd since he’d never met someone who’d agree with him on the subject, but Louis would be lying if he said that he didn’t enjoy his walks to the bus stop each morning. True, all that he had to do was walk down the block, but that meant that he was able to take his time with it. It was a nice time to think, he supposed, and really his only time of the day to do so considering the fact that he always got a ride home from the boy that he was tutoring in math.
Today, the walk seemed particularly nice. There weren’t many other people walking along the sidewalk so it seemed as if Louis had more time alone with his thoughts. He eyed his neighbors’ meticulously trimmed lawns as he passed, each the same as the last was. Internally, he cursed the normalcy of it. Part of Louis wished that something different would happen, but he knew that wasn’t likely to happen. And why should he wish it so? His life was… nice. It was nice and there was no reason to want for that to change.
He let his mind wander to the paper in his backpack instead. He’d worked particularly hard on this one and he was quite proud of it. Despite the fact that it wasn’t due for another week, he planned on handing it in early. Of course, he knew that the teacher expected nothing less from him. It would have been more peculiar if he were to wait until the definite due date. And, if he was being totally honest, it wasn’t that Louis particularly enjoyed doing his class work, but it was what was expected of him. If nothing else, Louis Tomlinson lived up to expectations.
Noticing that he was coming up on the bus stop quickly, Louis shook those thoughts from his head quickly and focused solely on making it to the stop in one piece. As he approached the last corner that was before it, he realized that was easier said than done. Mostly due to the fact that, leaning up against the car parked on the corner was Zayn Malik, the boy who was quickly becoming the bane of Louis’ entire existence.

Perhaps it was wishful thinking to believe that he’d be able to pass by Zayn without the other boy realizing who he was, but that didn’t stop him from attempting. He kept his eyes downcast as he passed. It was working too, right up until he heard Zayn clear his throat.
Had Louis been a different person, he might have been able to keep his gaze focused on the ground. However, with the ever familiar feeling of fear coiling in his stomach, he looked up and met Zayn’s eyes. There was a smirk growing across the other boys face and Louis couldn’t for the life of him figure out why.
“Tomlinson,” Zayn greeted him in a slow drawl that sent shivers down Louis’ spine. He raked his eyes over Louis’ form like he was attempting to figure something out. Louis could feel his own face growing red at the attention, but he tried to ignore it. “Need a ride to school?”
Louis shook his head instantly and gestured towards the bus stop to try to get the point across that that was his destination. The action seemed lost on Zayn who simply hummed. “So… I’m going to go then… Bye!” Louis spun around, but stopped when he felt the heavy weight of Zayn’s hand on his shoulder.
Zayn quirked an eyebrow when Louis looked back to him. “You don’t need to take the bus. I offered you a ride. Why’re you turning me down?”
Somehow, Louis doubted that giving an honest answer would work out very well. People didn’t take tend to take kindly to hearing that they weren’t the proper sort of people that he thought that he should trust. He shrugged awkwardly. “I really ought to get to the bus…” he muttered.
Zayn opened his mouth to reply, but seemed to decide against it as the bus drove by, not stopping at the empty bus stop. Louis groaned loudly. Shaking his head, Zayn all but grinned. “So Louis, you want to take me up on that ride now?” he asked sarcastically, reaching out to straighten Louis’ collar. “It isn’t like you’ve got much of a choice, eh? Can’t miss class, can ya?”
The urge to say yes, he very well could skip his classes for the day, was there. Except from the fact that Louis hadn’t missed a class the entire time that he’d been in school and he wasn’t sure that now would be the proper time to begin doing so. His parents certainly wouldn’t have been pleased about that. “Is this your car?” he asked in leu of answering as he gestured towards the car that they’d be standing in front of.
That seemed like enough of an answer for Zayn who fished the keys out of his pocket before waving them in front of Louis’ face. “I’ve got the keys, don’t I?” Which was even less of answer than Louis’ response. “Knew you were too much of a square to miss a class!” Zayn said in a voice that veered on the edge of excitement as he walked over to the driver’s side. He leaned across the car and opened passenger door so that Louis would get in. “Come on then. Don’t want to be late!”
Groaning, Louis climbed into the car. He crossed his arms over his chest after buckling his seatbelt. “Just get going please.” “Don’t rush me,” Zayn mumbled as he adjusted the radio, turning it to a station that was undoubtedly rock and roll. The idea of it made his skin crawl. It wasn’t the type of music that he listened to on a regular basis and he’d been told by his mother multiple times that it was ‘the devil’s music’ so he couldn’t help the feeling of tension that washed over him. He couldn’t help feeling that he should have known that Zayn would be the type to listen to that genre. Starting up the car, Zayn shot Louis a look. He glanced between Louis and the radio before grinning. “Ah, don’t have a cow, Tommo. It’s only music!”
Louis might have replied if Zayn hadn’t taken off the next second. He dug his fingernails into his thighs as they sped off. He was becoming increasingly doubtful that this had been the best idea. If he hadn’t had to make it to school, he’d have calmly- as calmly as he could- asked Zayn to pull over. Of course, it wasn’t an option today.
The ride was calm and nearly silent. Louis knew that Zayn was continually shooting him glances and, though that was hard to ignore, he chose not to comment on it given the possibility that he was imagining it. Once they’d reached the school, Zayn pulled into a spot near the edge of the lot and smiled.

“Alright, beat it. I’ve got places to be.”
Blinking a few times, Louis rubbed the back of his neck. “Don’t you have class too?” he asked slowly, knowing full well that answer should be yes.
To his credit, Zayn was almost able to keep a straight face following Louis’ comment. Biting back another smile, he nodded. “Well, yeah, but I’m skipping out. Wanna try?”
“No!” Louis replied instantly before unbuckling his seatbelt. “I’ve considered doing that once and that was earlier this morning given the fact that you were my only mode of transportation to school. If I would have had a choice in the matter, I wouldn’t have even come with you,” he announced, stepping out of the car and shooting Zayn a pointed look.
Zayn seemed to take the comment in stride. He shook his head as Louis slammed the door shut and stalked off. He started the car back off and started to pull out of the parking lot. But not before rolling down his window and shouting after Louis, “Have a nice day at school, princess!”
sorry that 1a is so short. character limit confuses me ;__________;
