Louis leaves after he doesn't advance through the male solo artist round to go back home and help take care of his siblings. (Money troubles? Family troubles?) The rest of the boys end up forming One Direction (with maybe a fifth member who ends up quitting in two years due to musical differences. Aiden?) Louis ends up running into the band somewhere? and he tells Harry that he was right when he said Harry would end up making it big.

This next bit is too cheesy though haha. It'd be nice if Louis somehow ended up being part of 1D anyway..maybe by replacing a supposed fifth member? if the author takes that route.

TLDR! Louis' dreams of being a singer are sidelined when he has to leave the X Factor to help his family and things look bad, but eventually everything works out somehow and he's able to fulfill his dreams anyway.

Liam/Zayn, waking up in different reality

Zayn wakes up in a world where everything is pretty much the same...except that he's with Liam. Liam and Danielle never happened because Zayn in this reality had the courage to admit his feelings early on. Angst...plot happenings? He realizes that as much as he loves being here, he has to go back to his Liam in his own world.

Up to the author if he gets his own happy ending. Maybe he realizes that Liam and him could actually be possible if it weren't for his girlfriend so if/when that relationship ended, he could admit his feelings to Liam then? Maybe when Zayn left, time went on without him and everyone was going crazy trying to find him. Or maybe the other Zayn had appeared in his place. Or maybe time never went on without him, so he returns to the time he first left.
