Shivering in horror, a desperate idea nudges at him. He leans forward, scared as hell that Harry might pick this moment of all of them to wake up, grasps the edge of the duvet piled around Harry's feet, and draws it carefully back over him.

Mission accomplished, he crawls miserably back into his own cold bed and pulls the covers tight around him, feigning sleep just in case.

The only hope he has left now, is that when Harry finally wakes, he will believe he did it himself, that the mess on his stomach and thighs is nothing more than the embarrassing result of a forgotten wet dream. The alternative, after all, will surely be unthinkable.

Niall lies awake for a long time. And wonders when he'll next get to share with Harry again.
