I really hope you guys don't close the community. It would be too sad, not only because there's a ton of awesome and nice writers here, but also because this is one of the places that inspired me to get back into writing fic. I'd be extremely sad to see it go and hope it doesn't come to that.
I feel like in general I've seen a bit of a slow down in fic production across various comms/groups/AO3 tags I track. It's something a few of my other friends in the fandom have noticed as well. I think a bit of it has to do with the fact that the boys haven't been doing anything more than rehearsing for tour/press conference-ish type things which don't tend to be the most inspiring stuff (Zayn's recent drama excepting lmaooo). I think once the boys start tour, things will pick up. That's how it seemed last summer, at least, when they were touring and fic was being produced at a fever pitch. Also it seems like college/uni people had projects/finals this month and not a whole lot of time. As for me, well, work has been kicking my ass to say the least so my fic is coming along slower than I'd like it to. Also the dreaded writer's block is settling on in, but that's neither here nor there. It might be worth it to keep this place going at least through the beginning of the summer to see if anything changes. People have more free time then and the boys should be getting up to shenanigans so I think it might be a totally different atmosphere than what's going on now.
I hope to at least finish the piece I've been working on by the 2nd week of Feb, and with the way work's going, it might be my only contribution :( But yeah, it would be terrible for this place to shut down and it would be missed. I'd really encourage people who are thinking of joining to get in on the action to do. I'm not sure if an extension( two-week one, maybe?) would be worth it to you guys to do but that might also help with fic production. I know I could whip up another piece by then since Feb is a relatively lighter month for me, but if not I understand.

But seriously, thank you for this comment because we've been losing hope over the past months and yeah, you helped with that :D
