On my most recent adventure to the dollar store, I happened upon this:
That's right. It's a snuggie... for dogs.
"It keeps you warm and your paws free."
I probably wasn't supposed to be reading the package since the advertising is directed to the dogs and not their owners who can read...
but it was the back of the package that had me sold.
Notice the two suggested uses pictured at the bottom.
Yes, the one dog has the remote. He probably returned home from an exhausting day at work with only enough energy to flop on the couch and watch a couple hours of Animal Planet. And the other two dogs are in thick of an obviously very competitive game of backgammon.
I guess I am completely underestimating the power of a dog in a snuggie. Maybe they could go to the store and purchase the snuggie themselves.
Speaking of products for weird audiences:
In the course of a discussion about Halloween with a pregnant woman, which consequently led to the discussion of pregnant women's Halloween costumes, we embarked on an internet search for those materinity shirt costumes. You know, the I'm-pregnant-so-I'm-going-to-wear-a-shirt-for-Halloween-that-reminds-you-that-I'm-pregnant-and-then-we'll-call-it-good shirts.
We found about a hundred variations of the following:
Ones without bows if you were having a boy, ones with two or three baby skeletons if you were carrying twins or triplets, ones that glowed in the dark if you suspected you were carrying radioactive alien children, etc.
The one pictured above though was actually labeled "Skeleton costume- Mens Long Sleeve Shirt"
Mens? Whose idea was that? If the shirt is supposed to be a mock x-ray to see inside of you, this is not a "costume" that works for men. Men do not have babies. Men do not have baby skeltons inside of them.
Unless they ate your baby.
Which is very scary so I guess right along the lines of the halloween spirit.
Which reminds me of a picture I took a few years ago of our microwave. I don't know who was cooking last, but I guess it's a good thing I moved out of that apartment.
