My laptop charger won't work for some reason so I'm borrowing Loki's while he's in the shower. Because of this I have no pictures from yesterday, so here's a written account.
One of the new girls in the room, Julia (who is from Brazil) joined us in our adventures. After breakfast we headed for the Winter Wonderland attraction in Hyde Park, which is basically just a fair/carnival. We got there right as they were opening so some of the stalls were still closed, although I think 99% of the booths were all food lol. There is an ice-skate rink there but they were sold out of tickets, so I don't know if we'll try again in the future. We walked across the entire park to head for Kensington Palace, but in the end there were so many other things along the way we ended up not going to the palace at all. xD Instead we saw the humongous Prince Albert statue and went to a science museum and the Natural History Museum, both of which are absolutely massive. I think these type of gigantic buildings for museums are something only to be found in long-lasting former-empire nations such as the UK. I'm pretty sure the NHM is bigger than all of the museums in Balboa Park combined.
After the museums we went on the tube and headed for Parliament Buildings/Big Ben/London Eye. Just in front of the London eye was some sort of outdoor market fair thing with a ton of booths so we walked through there.
...Writing it down it seems we didn't do too much. =w=;; but trust me there was A LOT of walking and the museums were SERIOUSLY VERY VERY HUGE so this took a long time to do. Even though we were all super tired we decided to try and hit up the Doctor Who store on the way home. We got there at about 5:38 and they closed at 5:30. ///////orz IT'S OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND TOOK FOREVER TO GET TO.....sobs....
Today we're going back to the Who store after we have breakfast at Hyde Park. Gonna buy lots of things since I have restrained from buying myself anything so far. We...kinda don't have any plans after that woops %| WELL WE'LL....FIGURE SOMETHING OUT...
In other tragic Who-related news, we didn't realize the DW Experience was....a thing...and not a store so we didn't know we had to buy tickets. It's closed until the 28th and the tickets are already sold out. ;______; CRIES.....
oh I just noticed this guy across the room is wearing a xkcd shirt.
well that is all for now. later!
