I thought I'd start off with this one, as although it wasn't the first SVH book I read (I think that honour belongs to #5), it was the first one I owned.
These girls are so lame! In the first book, Jessica says, "I can't believe a boy would dare prefer my sister's company to mine, so I'll tell Liz he's a rapist." In this one, Liz says, "The very fact that you mentioned my sister's name more than once makes me believe that you are in love with her, so I'm going to pout like a big baby!" How is this rational?
And doesn't Jessica change her name, too? I could've sworn I remembered something about that.
Why is it that in all YA books I've read, nobody is EVER pleased when somebody gets a makeover?
Ha. I remember that in the BSC too. When Mary Anne dared to get a haircut and buy a new pair of leggings without asking their permission, they wouldn't be her friend anymore until she apologized. And she did! I don't get it
( ... )
Yup, to Jessi Fields. Or rather, she plans to do it once her modeling career takes off. Forgot to mention that.
I was thinking of Mary Anne's Makeover too. And her makeover wasn't even that drastic. I don't get that she apologized either.
I don't remember anything about Jessica having a secret fling with Todd... that must be in some of the books I haven't read :( There are a LOT of those unfortunately.
33 is "Starting Over", where Dana's cousin Sally comes to live with them. The B-plot is (I think) that Jessica and Liz try to hide a dog in their basement.
I was so proud when Mary Jane cut her hair!! Everyone else was silly not to like it. Why can Claudia change her look allll the time and not Mary Jane? Those guys imposed some strict appearance regulations on themselves.

Also, YEAH RIGHT black hair dye washes right out of blonde hair. You know it would leave a weird gray tinge for weeks in RL.
The cover art for this one is priceless. Jessica looks exactly the same except with black hair, and Liz is like "Oh Noes!"
