Holy Sweet Valley!
Sorry, this isn't a recap or anything, but I wanted to share my joy with like-minded folks.
So, I've been searching for SVH books with very little luck at my area thrift shops lately, but I stopped by this bookstore in my town that I had never been to before in the off chance that they might have some. After scanning all their shelves they had none to be found, but when I got to the counter to pay for some other books, I asked the guy and he said "I'm glad you asked, I ran out of space so I keep them back here," and he hauled out probably 70 SV titles! Most of them were the University books which I had no interest in, but he had quite a few of the SVH books with the original covers, so I snapped up 19 of them:
It was a total snafu of coincidence, but I was absolutely thrilled. I chatted the owner up about how I've been looking all over the place with no luck, and how my coworkers and I want to start an SVH bookclub (we're all in our mid twenties so we all read them when we were younger...which is just a little bit wierd for me though because I'm the only guy). So I plan to hit the place up every month to see if he gets any more, but just in case you are in the Seattle (WA) area and are looking for some SV books (he mostly has SVU titles and only a handful of SVH after I bought them all LOL), the store is in Lynnwood and it's called Reread Books - a very cool place indeed! I feel so lucky.
