What a change for Amy, who was such a tomboy in SVT! That Ted thing is awful. But I have to point out, it would've been easy to do a much crueler cheer if they'd had their facts straight. Ted rhymes with dead!
Good recap - I haven't read this one, but from everything you've written it seems like Lydia would come out on top. That whole "Sisters" series was pretty good.
Oh, and glossary: Scrimmage - a game that doesn't count for the team's overall record. Sort of like practice, except its against another team and people care about the outcome (even though it doesn't count.) I didn't promise this would make sense. Second-string - players that aren't the best ones on the team. They're usually sent in if the better players are sick/injured, or if it's pretty obvious that the team is going to win anyway. (First-string = best/starting players.)
I remember loving the Cassie book, because even when I was a kid I was all about the shallow, popular girls. I don't think I ever got around to reading the youngest sister's story.
I realise that it's a little hypocritical of me to go shooting my mouth off about feminism when I just dedicated two paragraphs and a YouTube video clip to how physically attractive I think Claire is, but THAT IS HOW I ROLL. She is hot. It's a factual statement; doesn't make you less of a feminist. Says the girl who spent the evening baking cookies.
I misremembered him as being black, and was so, SO excited by the idea of a Wakefield dating a non-white guy that I'm a little embarrassed. You didn't misremember totally. Jessica dated black!Danny Wyatt in SVU (but she was thinking about Mike the whole time...)
After school on Tuesday, John catches up with Terri on her way out to the football field. John is "out of breath, and his face was flushed". I can only conclude that he's just got back from raping some poor girl. Owned!
Seriously, I love her. If she posted on 1bruce1 and forgot to use an LJ cut, I wouldn't even bitch her out about it. That's love!
They need Cordelia Chase to come along and give them her "You're a sheep!"
( ... )
"Scrimmage" means it's a game is going to be played as though it were for all intents and purposes a real game, although it's usually in practice with team members playing against each other. "Second-string" is probably about what you might expect. It's the back up. But I totally support you continuing to think it's dirty and wrong. :D

It really is. I think I'm all over the comments in every non-cut LJ post whining about it needing to be fixed. D:
Yet when he's all emo about Olivia she doesn't play. How annoying.
Point! Does Claire even play again for the rest of the series?
