I don't even know where they got the title for this. She's not working for the Queen. If I ever meet this ghostwriter, I'll probably beat her up. Then, if she died, she'd literally be a ghostwriter. Heh. I'm so funny

Who did the cover art for this series? Liz looks like a lump of potatoes. It's terrible.
Then, if she died, she'd literally be a ghostwriter. Heh. I'm so funny. Heh. That'd be an awesome story, actually. She comes back from the dead to haunt Francine like "How come I got not royalties, bitch?!?" :D
She goes through her videos and feels embarrassed when she finds her Spice Girls concert videos. Don't worry, Sarah. The Spice Girls' London reunion concert sold out in 38 seconds. You're not the only one who likes them. Hands up who is watching the stupid Victoria's Secret Fashion show just to see them tomorrow? Just me, then okay!
Lavinia's dragging Max through Harrod's to put together a wedding registry. Basically a list of extremely expensive presents to buy for them for their wedding. Do any of them at least have to do with pies?!? Come on, ghostwriter, throw me a bone here!
Still no results. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Do they have dossiers on each student in the uni or something? I'm not entirely sure if you can stalk people on university

That's just how people look in England, anyway. In Sweet Valley High, people are blessed with a heavenly tan glow, but once you cross the ocean you become as bland and bosh as those bloody piss-taking ps & qs balderdash quite-so Englanders.

Oh yeah. Once you'r not on the Pacific anymore, you can't have Pacific Blue eyes. You have to have dirty Atlantic eyes (eww). And ZOMG no one is a perfect size six! And they have bad teeth! It's horrendous!
I wonder how much the ghostwriters make for writing this stuff? Does Francine get most of it?
I still have my Spice Girls videos. Heh.
That walrus link is so... wow. I lol'd.
And yeah, there were definitely moments in here where I saw the original Sweet Valley High fighting to escape. Attempted rape is definitely one of them. Also, when the girl is about ot lose her virginity and then finds at the last second what a jerk her boyfriend is, and is totally grateful she didn't sleep with him. Typical! :)
I wonder how much the ghostwriters make for writing this stuff? Does Francine get most of it? I work at a publishing company, while it's not RandomHouse (which did SVH) so I can't speak to SV in particular, I have a vague idea. Typically ghost writer gets paid a "flat fee" around $5,000 for writing a book like this; they don't get anything else no matter how well the book does. However, if you look on the copyright page, most of the copyrights are actually co-owned by Francine and Daniel Weiss Associates, which became 17th Street Productions, which was then acquired by Alloy and became Alloy Entertainment (best know for now producing the "Gossip Girl" series of books). DWA would have a deal with the publisher where they would get money up front but also royalties based on books sold, and they would pay Francine for her creation.
