Ugh! I get so creeped out at people calling girls "pure." If someone's not a pure girl, does that mean she's part catfish or something? It's just so, so gross.

Lila is awesome! And Steven seemed to grow in awesomeness as SVH wennt on. The Steven in this book is a completely different person from the one who publicly ran around on dying Tricia with Cara Walker, and then dumped Cara in the middle of a party and laughed about it, and then got back with Cara anyway and cheated on her with every Tricia lookalike he could find.

It was really gross! Liz sure knows how to attract winners. She's like a creepy guy magnet.

I totally agree about Steven! I was kind of upset reading that recap because it didn't seem like the Steven I remembered. This recap is the way he should be. He was always a good guy and probably the most unusual in town because he actually seemed normal.

Also, it is me, or is there something distinctly...off about the pizza place being called Guido's?
The writers were probably just searching for the most stereotypical Italian name they could think of.

Hee! Oh, God, I love Lila and Steven messing with the twins. I hope they pretended to be engaged for at least a week. I loved your entire paragraph about Liz's turn-ons as well!

Also, I just noticed that John's death reminds me (superficially) of the end of Heathers. Of course, it'd hardly be the first time that a Sweet Valley book ripped off a real book/movie.

But let's not forget that JD in that film = awesome, and John = evil crazy rapist.

I do love the image of John CRYING WITH HAPPINESS at the bomb.Best moment ever.

When he hears what Liz is done, he tells her off. It’s sort of awesome because I’ve never seen Todd have, like, balls before. He asks her how she’d feel if someone did that to them, and Liz is all “that’s different, we’re perfect for each other.” But Todd says it’s Steven’s life and it’s not Liz’s place to “play games” with it and that she’ll end up “hurting more people than she helps.” Then he storms off! I know! I was shocked my own self!

WAHOO!

Go Todd!

I think this was his one shining moment in the entire series. All through SVH he was basically Liz's doormat, and then in SVU he turned into a giant asshole. Can't help shipping him and Liz though...:)

Well when he says "You'll end up hurting more people than you help" and then the school blows up, there's a moment of "Ohmigod, Todd was right. It was really freaky. I totally expected the universe to collapse in on itself at that very moment.

He should of have, "You ALWAYS end up hurting more people than you help," but I guess she wouldn't have liked that. And burst into tears. Definitely!
