I can maybe accept the pot roast, but peas and salad?
Agreed. Steven is the worst college kid ever.

As you say, silk blouse capital of the world.

The bus? That is so undignified. She agrees anyway.
Whoa that's scary. Our Jessica would never agree to ride the bus. Something is wrong with her!

She also tells Liz that she is leaving her new jeans behind because they make her look fat.
You gotta include the relevant details!

This was my favorite book. Because it has a classic Jan Brady moment. All through Jessica's rants about how wonderful everyone thinks Liz is I can hear a little voice in my head say "Marsha Marsha Marsha." Jess has a moment when she thinks "Elizabeth Elizabeth Elizabeth." It totally cracks me up. Of course Caroline Pierce had her own Jan Brady moment, when she invented imaginary boyfriend Adam. Can anyone say George Glass?

I loved George Glass! Oh man, that Jan was one crazy girl. I always felt sorry for her, though. Marcia was mean.

Dude, drinking bear kind of freaks me out too!

This was my favorite SVH book for years. Nicky was so sensitive and romantic, and Jessica was so awesome. Then I re-read it a while back and felt the same way I did when I saw Dirty Dancing again years after having thought it was the most romantykal movie EVAH....

This was always the book where I actually felt sorry for Jessica. She's certainly not perfect, but at least with Jessica what you see is what you get. She's not a hypocrite like Liz, who comes off like such a saint but is an even bigger cheater than Jess.

I agree; I always felt Liz had a hidden agenda, whereas, with Jess, you always knew her hidden agenda straight off!

HAAA. This book sounds great. I never actually read any of the SVH books - I was a big SVT fan. But I'll have to dig some up at my library or something, because they sound truly, wonderfully terrible.
